MarkoH01: I just found where SIA was telling a bit more about the paypal donations and possible slacker backer pre-order for Gibbous. Fun fact: it was me who was asking the question in chat :)

Cheers for digging this up, and for posing the question; will give it a go tomorrow.

MarkoH01: Thank you for the nice words Mykll. Since you already said that I am the GOGetter I want to get you here too ;) GOG is DRM free and with Galaxy (which is still in beta though) also is able to provide achievements if you care for such things. The people at GOG really care for their customers while the people runnning steam ... wait ... there ARE real human people working for steam? There is a reason why I want to bring this to GOG and the reason is that I am convinced with nearly everything GOG does and what it stands for. The GOG community simply is the best and very helpful (apart from steam where I can see many threads sounding like actual war declarations with insults and such). As I said you should really try this out and you will see that there is a reason why I am so convinced.
I think Liviu started the GOGetter, I can't take credit for this one.

It's just been easy over the years to stay with Steam, because I hated the idea of having tons of gaming clients. Steam, GOG (with the now GOG Galaxy), Arc, Battle.Net, Desura, Glyph, Origin, UPlay, etc... It's just like, ugh not another one. But yes, I very much like GOG's "the game belongs to me" rather than Steam's "the game is licensed to me to use only as long as Steam is around". Which is why I still buy physical goods: books, music CDs, games, etc. Because they are mine.

Edit:
They talk about the PayPal thing again here (same stream):

Remember: you don't need to use Galaxy at all. If you don't want another client you can simply download the games and play them without any client at all. That is what was most interesting for me when I registered with GOG. I will never have to fear that I cannot play a GOG game whenever GOG should not be available.

Thank you for finding the new Paypal thing in the twitch stream (have you really watched the 6hrs again just to find this?) - I am sure HypersomniacLive appreciates it as well.

It wasn't really a GOG Galaxy vs. GOG website thing, it was more of checking GOG period. Of adding yet another place to go checking for games. Granted some of those are the ONLY place to buy certain games, but... And I actually prefer Galaxy over the website.

Hah no I didn't watch the entire stream again. I just remembered that they talked about PayPal again after the time you mentioned. I randomly clicked forward in time and got a few minutes before they went into PayPal. Seemed like familiar convo so watched from there. And accidentally found that you could actually link the exact time starting place to watch.

Edit:
And I see a little bug in Galaxy. Or in GOG specifically. I changed my pic last night (so before this post) to my Cartoonized Cami one and it still shows that in my profile. But on my post here it still shows my older "Ghost Mykll" picture. Oh well.

Sometimes GOG is a bit slower. I am sure your pretty Cami made drwing will appear here soon as well :)

Edit: You see? It is already in my quote - small but it is there.
Edit2: It's also on my shown in my friends list.

Strange voodoo magic (yes, that one was on purpose!) at work here. I see it in your reply, yet in my post it still has the old pic.

I have contacted support about it and they replied today (one example where you can see why GOG is better ;)):

"Thank you for reporting this issue. We are investigating the problem internally and will fix it ASAP.
I apologize for any inconvenience caused."

Oh neat. Yeah nothing game breaking, just something I noticed.

It may take them a bit though - give them time. At least they are aware and are trying to fix this.
O.K. - it's really time for a little update.

Meanwhile the devs have made a documentary about developing the game one year later:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vm709GBFCIo

Also really recommended is this video in which you can see how the intro of the game is looking now (I was asked to emphasize that even this nifce looking intro still is work in progress. The newspaper boy atm is voiced by the Lead developer Liviu Boar btw.):

Here is a sneak peak at the actual look of the main menu which they just have reworked a bit and which also still is work in progress

As a P&C fan I'm reeled in. Love the artwork, noir style, although the intro story doesn't seem very gripping to me. Do they have a release date? I voted for it anyway.

I guess the "story" will be explained a bit into the game much better. As you said the intro is classic noir style with off narration pretty straight forward without any complexity. However I was told several times that the story will get quite interesting and will also offer a few twists. I posted the wip intro merely to show how much focus they lay on the details. Always remember it#s just three guys working on the game and only two being artists so imo the intro looks amazing. But of course that is subjective.

Regarding a possible release date. It's hard to say because they decided to add much more to the game to offer an even better experience. They really want to do this right. I read on discord something about end of this year or beginning of next year though. Nothing guaranteed just estimates based on the current progress.

I'm definitely happy to see developers put creative P&C games out and this one does look interesting.

King Art have a new P&C have Shakes & Fidget – The Adventure and a new Black Mirror game. Not sure if that's a re-make or original content. I'm hoping for Unwritten Tales 3 but apparently the sequel didn't slease date.

I read that Black Mirror 4 should be a different story as the originals.
