MarkoH01: Thank you for the nice words Mykll. Since you already said that I am the GOGetter I want to get you here too ;) GOG is DRM free and with Galaxy (which is still in beta though) also is able to provide achievements if you care for such things. The people at GOG really care for their customers while the people runnning steam ... wait ... there ARE real human people working for steam? There is a reason why I want to bring this to GOG and the reason is that I am convinced with nearly everything GOG does and what it stands for. The GOG community simply is the best and very helpful (apart from steam where I can see many threads sounding like actual war declarations with insults and such). As I said you should really try this out and you will see that there is a reason why I am so convinced.
Mykll: I think Liviu started the GOGetter, I can't take credit for this one.
It's just been easy over the years to stay with Steam, because I hated the idea of having tons of gaming clients. Steam, GOG (with the now GOG Galaxy), Arc, Battle.Net, Desura, Glyph, Origin, UPlay, etc... It's just like, ugh not another one. But yes, I very much like GOG's "the game belongs to me" rather than Steam's "the game is licensed to me to use only as long as Steam is around". Which is why I still buy physical goods: books, music CDs, games, etc. Because they are mine.
Edit:
They talk about the PayPal thing again here (same stream):
https://www.twitch.tv/liviuboar/v/64702076?t=06h27m51s Remember: you don't need to use Galaxy at all. If you don't want another client you can simply download the games and play them without any client at all. That is what was most interesting for me when I registered with GOG. I will never have to fear that I cannot play a GOG game whenever GOG should not be available.
Thank you for finding the new Paypal thing in the twitch stream (have you really watched the 6hrs again just to find this?) - I am sure HypersomniacLive appreciates it as well.
