MarkoH01: Hi HypersomniacLive,
if I would have known that this is your kind of game I would have sent you a PM with a link to this. I am really glad you like the game. I am a backer as well (cannot wait for my Kitteh T-Shirt to arrive in a year or so ;)) and the devs as well as the demo are absolutely awesome. As for paypal: afaik Kickstarter does not offer any paypal

https://www.kickstarter.com/help/faq/backer+questions?

so that is probably not the devs fault. Unfortunately I don't know a workaround either. You should also really watch their archived livestream here:

https://www.twitch.tv/liviuboar/profile

just to see how awesome and nice they are (until now I only said this about the GOG community). It's really a blast being part of this campaign and you should not miss it.

So please don't stop to spread the news and the kickstarter link and always tell people that there is afree demo included - it was what hooked me first :) The campaign is pretty strong now but it can always get better and more backers are more funds to help the devs to makle the best game possible, We NEED a great point and click adventure like this.

@Mykll and Corwim and llamas: Also nice to see you here again :)
Hey my friend, no worries, I found the thread in time, so all's good.

I know that Kickstarter doesn't do PayPal; payment methods is not the issue, it's Kickstarter itself.
Anyway, I checked out their latest update, and it seems they're looking into it.

I hope they'll make at least the next stretch goal, I'm a total sucker for game soundtracks, and live orchestra sounds great.

And I've already told everyone I know that backs projects, and loves p&c adventures.

Thanks for the link to their Twitch channel, I'll make sure to watch it. And try the demo out (have already downloaded it).

Corwim: In their latest update, they mention that they are looking into adding a Slacker Backer Paypal-like option after the campaign is done, so keep an eye out for it. :-)

In their own words:
"Keeping It Going After the Kickstarter's Done

A lot of you guys have suggested to add a slacker backer PayPal kind of option once the campaign's done. We've been looking into it, and there's like a 98% chance that that will happen, we just don't exactly know whether it will be PayPal or some other similar service. Rest assured that our top (and only) tech guy, Nicu, is all over the problem like tentacles on an innocent Old One victim."
Did you just call me a slacker?! ;-P

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'll make sure to keep an eye on further announcements.

Oh, I wouldn't dare! :-) Just taking over their wording *quickly points at the update's quote* Hope to see you become a sla... , I mean backer once the campaign ends. ;-)

And they just did exactly that :) There will be live music in the game because the stretch goal is reached.
Congratulations to Stuck In Attic and one more reason to go over to the Kickstarter page to back them.

Neat! Wonder if I should wish for something else, and what... *wink wink*

EDIT: I don't think I saw this anywhere on their campaign (but could have missed it), did they say what format the OST will be in?

For anyone interested: the developers are hosting a live stream right now until the end of the kickstarter campaign (which ends in about 4 hours). They've planned a bunch of things, including a playthrough of the demo with commentary, highlighting all the little details they've put in there, should be interesting! Plus, hoping of course they'll make the next stretch goal, fully animated cut scenes *fingers crossed they'll make it*! :-)

Join here:

And to get a taste of their sense of humor, they also posted a video with a live action interview with one of the game's main protagonists, the talking cat Kitteh! :-)

Just asked on the stream about the soundtrack, the physical release will be audio cd quality, the digital one will be FLAC. Don't know my technical terms, so hope that clears things up. :-)

Yes, makes perfect sense, cheers. Glad to see they're taking the FLAC route.

You're welcome. Think these guys did their homework on what gamers want, so I'm glad their answer cleared things up for you. :-)
The campaign has ended and thanks to all of you it really was a success with several stretch goals hit. Thanks everyone here on GOG who contributed to this. At the moment it is still possible to donate to reach other stretch goals using paypal (they updated their Kickstarter page for this). If you want to ask them anything feel free to write them a mail contact@gibbousgame.com or go to their facebook or twitter account (you can find the links also on their Kickstarter). These three are answering questions really fast (well at the moment they have to get some sleep but then they probably will) so ask away.

And even if the campaign has ended: if you do like their project and if you have not done it yet, please vote for the game here on GOG so that it will be here when it is ready.
I am not used to using GOG (but I think I may start to use it more vs. Steam) so not frequently checking out the comments here. Yes campaign is over, and while the PayPal donate button is just that, donate, hopefully soon-ish (after they rest up, etc.) there will be a proper PayPal order site on their page. Thanks Marko for being the GOGetter over here!

Thank you for the nice words Mykll. Since you already said that I am the GOGetter I want to get you here too ;) GOG is DRM free and with Galaxy (which is still in beta though) also is able to provide achievements if you care for such things. The people at GOG really care for their customers while the people runnning steam ... wait ... there ARE real human people working for steam? There is a reason why I want to bring this to GOG and the reason is that I am convinced with nearly everything GOG does and what it stands for. The GOG community simply is the best and very helpful (apart from steam where I can see many threads sounding like actual war declarations with insults and such). As I said you should really try this out and you will see that there is a reason why I am so convinced.

I must admit that a simple donation button was not what I expected when I read about a slacker backer campaign via PayPal.
I may have missed any statements about it evolving to a proper campaign on their site (didn't see anything on their Kickstarter), so before contacting them - were any plans for this mentioned?

Yes, they definitely have plans to turn this into a real slacker backer campaign. This paypal donation button is a temporary thing. I don't know if they mentioned this in one of their streams or if it is burried in the comment section. If I find out I'll post it here.

Cheers, wouldn't be nice to badger them for no reason.

I just found where SIA was telling a bit more about the paypal donations and possible slacker backer pre-order for Gibbous. Fun fact: it was me who was asking the question in chat :)
