I recently got a new job!

It's a boring office job, but the pay is decent and, since I'm fairly introverted, at least I won't have to deal with other people as much. I also hopefully shouldn't have to clean human fecal matter off floors and walls like I did at my previous couple jobs(don't ask).

Hopefully it works out, I've been working there for two weeks now and I just got my first paycheck, so I'm feeling pretty good. However, I'm still working at my other job full time until they can hire someone new, so I'm working almost 60 hours a week with no days off. What little free time I had is now completely gone for the time being.

But now to celebrate, I'd like to offer you a (virtual) new job as well!

Being born in a lower class family, I myself have worked over 72 hours a week to support myself and pay rent for a tiny one bedroom flat.

Working long hours decreases your weight and increases your stress levels. So its both good and bad. But mostly bad.

Well I'm already pretty scrawny, so that's not really good at all. :P

My first job when I moved out from my parents was minimum wage, so I did used to work almost 70 hours a week just to pay rent. At least with my last job, money was pretty stable, but not work I enjoyed. I'm hoping with this new job I can make enough to get by while working decent hours and having free time for a change. Yeah, not in either, but good luck with the new job! Boring can be good, I'm introverted too and know what you mean, and not having to clean...that...is a step in the right direction!

Sorry to hear, I hope you don't have to do that often. Both of my previous jobs were in customer service, so it definitely wasn't in my job description, but still happened on quite a few occasions. Good luck to you!

Thanks! Btw. I also had two jobs a couple of years ago. But then I considered that my free time is more important than the little money I earned extra. The second job was a teaching job and pay was shit. I liked doing it, but in the end I'd rather have more free time :D

Congrats for your new job. I'm still trying to find a job as a civil servant / official, but even with my recent success in an examination contest (only 110 people named on more 2000 contenders), I find nothing, because of my lack of experience and network. France is really a shitty country !
