searched the forum for GBP and currency but can't find anyone else with a similar issue and the FAQs say it's possible to pay in GBP.

There's no option for GBP in teh currency at the bottom of the screen only USD and EUR.

So have I missed something?

Thanks
it's because of brexit

Are you a wizard?

The GBP currency returned at the checkout.

Thanks this is much appreciated, although the prices all look slighly off.

Thanks again.

He might be, but probably isn't. GOG breaks functions occasionally and always give users plenty of time before fixing them so that they might shine with knowledge to others about the bugs.
May just be a temporary glitch. Euros disappeared for me one night and were back the next day.

and shine they did, although with your words, now without the accompanying cloak, wand, top hat and associated bunny.
Don't worry. Soon enough GBP will disappear from the global market too. Then GOG will appear to be fixed. ;-)

Have had prices shown in USD on Firefox for a week or two now. No option to switch either. It's fine on Galaxy.

That might really be because of brexit, the pound keeps dropping in value. It definitely took a plunge last week.

Not sure. There are usual fluctuation. Stock or currency prices always go up and down. In the scale of a few months or 1-2 years the recent movement of the GBP to say USD is relatively small, anything but a plunge.

Jun 23rd of 2016 was a plunge, but since then it's more sideways and quite stable. I would expect another plunge only in the case of Parliament voting down the current Brexit document and a subsequent No-Deal exit. But every orderly transition that can be agreed upon will likely not influence the GBP much in the short term.
