expopower: Just a heads-up to anyone considering buying this bundle - a number of games have now been marked as sold out for new purchasers, so please read the bundle contents carefully before committing to a purchase:
- Subnautica (Early Access)
- Nuclear Throne
- Super Meat Boy (no Steam keys left, DRM-free still available)
- No Time to Explain Remastered
- Monster Loves You!
- Streamline (Early Access)
After seeing that those games were unavailable a few hours ago, it seems some games are available again:

- Nuclear Throne
- No Time to Explain Remastered
- Streamline (Early Access)

On the other hand, those three games are still sold-out for new customers:

- Monster Loves You!
- Subnautica (Early Access)
- Super Meat Boy (no Steam keys left, DRM-free still available)

In case someone bought the bundle (humble Freedom Bundle) and has already the witness, day of the tentacle or stardew valley (The witness and day of the tentacle are contained drm-free plus Steamkey) I would be glad, if anyone would like to give these away or be willing to trade for other games in exchange.

BenKii: Steam is also doing a Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Sale. 50% off all PC steam FF titles.

could somebody tell me if there still is a SE account needed to play those?

This post would be better off in the Trading thread. Be careful when trading though. Read the OP.

I can confirm that Lightning Returns: FFXIII and FFIII don't require a SE account since I own them and loaded them up to check. I'm interested as well in finding out if the rest of the FF titles require a SE account.

An SE account is needed only for Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII and the Final Fantasy MMOs (XI and XIV).

Great. Since FFVIII was the game I was interested in (since I luckily still own a retail copy of FFVII) this sale is of no use for me. Double DRM - no way! Thank you for the info though.

Sometimes I am wondering if there is something you don't know? ;)

Thanks for the info Grargar. That answers my nagging question as well. :)

I wonder if the requirement for an SE account is because of Cloud saves?
FF7 uses Square Enix's own cloud but FF8 uses Steam cloud. Or maybe they just continued with the requirement because it was next in line for release, even though they changed clouds. Inertia, bureaucracy, laziness could be reasons why they didn't delete the need for an account when they changed. Rather like changing the date at the top of a document, but not changing the other date in the middle.
But too many negative comments meant they axed the requirement for future releases?

Two additions:
You'll still get it DRM-free only Steam keys are out.
According to reddit the sold out games will not be restocked.

of those that I have played I can say Q.U.B.E and timeframe are pretty unique. but overall MEH for bundle if it was $20 I MIGHT have said sure but considering I can't use the witness it becomes way less a deal.
