Tragically few votes.

Been waiting for this game to appear on GOG since I first signed up. I've even had a HTML guide for the game bookmarked for when I'm ready to play and eventually get stuck. THAT is how ready I am for this game. With Catmouth Island (brings up fond memories of Nintendo64) and experience112 in a bundle for such a low price, This would be a no-brainer if only they were DRM-Free. :(

I've got a DRM-free download sitting on Groupees. It was in a bundle a few weeks ago. Is it really that good? I haven't checked into it much.

I have a copy of this under the older name but haven't tried it yet. If the finished version lives up to the description than it should be on GOG.

Many years ago when I was writing games, I had the idea for a game that took place in an Antarctic research station. You arrived at the station and only had access to the control room. So you watched and spoke to the other characters through the security system. Never got around to making it, but I'm glad to see a similar mechanic finally surface.

Looks like no reserve option.

A chance to save me from myself.

Sometimes they add the Reserve option once things get closer.

This just came up so they may not have gotten around to it yet.

Remute himself is in the chat room. He confirmed there will be no pre-order for this one.

No need for preorder, just one tier - $1. ;)

Unlikely to be any saving grace to it at that price
I'm thinking of grabbing Banished from Steam Weekly sale but i have some questions:

Does it have some kind of objective/endgame?

Does it have time limit in some way?

I'm not into city building too much with microdecisions (or something like that) but i do enjoy building some stuff, gathering more resources (ex. money) and more advanced stuff.
Would this be too much difficult to someone not used to this type of games (i never played sim city or anything like that).

Didn't realise there were that many games about deliberately ironic sex.

Or are they about ugly hats, music on vinyl, and vaping? :)

Not that I've encountered. Growing your community and keeping it alive is the main thrust, while dealing with all the new challenges that come your way.

No, but you'll find yourself responding to dangers where things can quickly go sideways.

It's quite difficult to keep your community alive, but it's realistic and rewarding to play. You may get frustrated at building everything up only to realise you didn't prepare for Winter, for example. But ultimately it's related to games like FTL and Don't Starve, in that you will fail a lot but you'll also get better each time you play.

its far more sandbox oriented. you do have objectives in the sense you will need to build X buolding because you need Y resource. and it is fairly difficult, but some of the mods can change that for you without breaking the core gameplay.

I say get it - I played about 30-40 hours in the first week of owning it and it was a really involving game - even got sad when citizens died.
