PincushionMan: Is the Knights of Pen and Paper +1 still the microtransaction game based on the Android/iPhone game? The one that attempts to extract real money from people for coins, tamagotchi-like you must log in every day (for coins or something), etc.... I uninstalled it right after I installed it, I was so disappointed.
However, I've been known to be wrong, so if anyone would like to correct me, have at it!
Nope, I've never had to pay real money for anything in the game. You earn coins from completing quests and defeating monsters (especially elite).
If you want to get a head start, you can pay for coins, but nothing is locked behind a paywall.
I play it all the time on my phone (I got the .apk from a Humble bundle?), and it's a great way to while away your time. The PC game is basically the same, and it's
fun. :)
So much so, I've got the expansion on my wishlist.
The game also gives generous amounts of coins for completing quests and defeating monsters. It's not a dribble, neither is it a deluge of coins. I think the rate is balanced just right, but then I've been grinding and I'm up to 25k of coins. I plan to upgrade the blacksmith's skills and then upgrade all my equipment and then buy some XP potions and then laugh in the face of danger! HAH-ha-ha-ha-HAH!!!
