Thanks, but no. I can buy it with the US price outside the Steam client, but I don't have any money right now and I'd rather wait until Christmas when it'll be even cheaper.

Kinda depends on the Indie developer and how Independent they are personally. Indies with several in their group can pump out more and risk less but I think this Bionic Heart guy is like what I've gathered from Cryptic Comet - They're more or less one person and their whole bread and butter depends on their site and the handful of niche games they produced.

You could probably toss Spider Web in there with them.

I don't mind all that much, I just couldn't merit paying the retail asked previously for the type of games that Winter Wolves produced where as I'm really into the games like Comet makes so I broke down and got all three from Comet a couple weeks back.

What's all the hype with the HD reboots nowadays ?

Higher Resolution, higher FPS, better cutscene quality, better Textures, an not to forget, Fan-Service (although a paid one but nevertheless) of gettting 'good old games' up to speed. I don't see why not get excited. :)

It's not a bad deal, but the game does require Steam, and it's only the basegame, neither the DLCs nor the expansion is included.

Steamworks, of course, and the GOTY edition doesn't seem to be discounted. I'd pass and play Civilization IV, personally. At least until a better deal comes up. I'd argue that Civilization IV is the better game anyway.

No problem, happened to me as well some time ago. Also, I again agree with your assessment: Civ4 is a much better game. :)
