It is an awesome game .... I bought it on release, but the dev is sitting half a mile from where I'm right now, so I was a bit biased. The "always online" DRM actually has an offline mode, but I agree, the activation limits sucks balls. Ubisoft so far has removed the DRM from most of their older titles, so I'm somewhat expecting the same here.
also it takes about 20 seconds to get the devs to reset your limit if it's not a weekend
It is the whole idea behind limited activaitons that I am against. It is an inconvenience to the paying customer, one that really should not be there. I'm sorry Anno 2070 devs, your game looks interesting, and I would love to buy it at some point, but I for one will flat out refuse to buy anything that has limited activations. I don't want that inconvenience, I don't want to support DRM like that, and the only way for me to show my displeasure is by giving in to the temptation of buying the game. And there are enough games out there with far less intrusive (or no) DRM for me to have a choice here.
