nagytow: IGN Prime is giving away keys for Krater Beta
http://www.fileplanet.com/betas/krater/
Keys activate on Steam.
avatar
michaelleung: Oh for fuck's sake, why can't a large company like IGN figure out that it's "sneak peek" not "sneak peak"?
Because IGN is terrible.

Because you can't spell ignorant without IGN?
IGN is so goddamn bad that I have been without IGN Prime status for over six months, and I COULD get those betas. Damn badly run thing.
Crysis is on sale at GG. How can I determine what the DRM is?

the_bard: Crysis is on sale at GG. How can I determine what the DRM is?
From the product page:

* Platform:PC
* File size:6 273.48 MB
* Categories:Action, First-Person Shooter, Shooter
* Publisher:Electronic Arts
* Developer:Crytek
* DRM:SecuROM
Ah, didnt see that. I'll pass then. Thanks.
GamersGate Daily Deal:

The Next Big Thing for 10.18 $/€ (66% off). It's an adventure from the makers of Runaway and seems to be a parody on Hollywood and its movies. The game uses SecuRom DRM.

Also, Ship Simulator Extremes is down to 8.99 $/€ again (70% off), and the Cities in Motion Collection is again down to 13.58 $/€ (66% off).

Also, as alluded to in one of the posts above, GamersGate currently has several Crysis games on sale. We apparently missed those since they are only available in the US. The sale includes:
Crysis for 10.18 $ (66% off), SecuRom DRM
Crysis - Maximum Edition for 10.18 $ (66% off), includes Crysis, Crysis Warhead (both using SecuRom), and Crysis Wars (DRM free)
Crysis Warhead for 6.78 $ (66% off)
Crysis 2 for 20$ (50% off), "Other DRM" (possibly Origin?)

So, now that Fallout NV - Ultimate Edition is available on the whole Earth and not only in the IP Troll Kingdom of A, where is it cheapest?

The best price I found so far was the UK Amazon, for £19.99 + shipping
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fallout-New-Vegas-Ultimate-DVD/dp/B004Q7D9M4/

Any contenders?
It's a wonder that this game can be found almost half the price in elsewhere than Steam for a newly released edition of the game

Steamworks games will almost always be cheaper elsewhere than Steam. If they weren't then people wouldn't buy them anywhere else.

Psyringe: Crysis 2 for 20$ (50% off), "Other DRM" (possibly Origin?)
I got this during the last sale while I was trying to get over my FPS sickness thing. I forget what the DRM was, but it wasn't Origin and I didn't need to create a 3rd party account. It does have a limit on the number of activations though, so most people here will probably want to skip it.

GetGamesGo has a few offers for 24 hours, not sure how good they may be, but just in case anyone is interested, here is a link

EdgeZombie: It was on a big discount on Steam over Christmas, but it ran out of keys quite quickly.
You're not missing out on too much, I only played it for 30 minutes and it was horrendous imo.

Tizzysawr: Your mileage may vary on that. I played it for over 40 hours without a problem and want to go through it again.

Also it was 50% off on GamersGate about six months ago, when I got it. $20 for game+expansion.
The sad thing is I really do want to like it, I just couldn't get past the controls and the bugs...
