SimonG: That now people complain about it just reeks of entitlement.
Except that I needed the game added to Origin in order for it to be playable. I wasn't out to get a free copy of the game, I was trying to get a *working* copy of the game.

So I wouldn't call that entitlement. I'd call that trying to get a working product in exchange for the the money they'd already been given.

Alright, that isn't entitlement. I was thinking of people trying to get their GG or Steam copies on Origin.

Actually with Steam it's quite easy now. Origin just adds automatically your EA games from Steam.
Kane and Lynch 2 is $5 at GMG.

I bought the Batman games again . ( this time from the UK store of Origin for £17.48 )

And how does that work? Because my NFS Shift on Steam was not added to Origin yet.

No idea how, but it works. Added some of my games, those I've got installed at least. Probably it scans your Steam dir or something.

It was quite a popular topic about a month ago. Two of many results from Google:

Not sure... I've had to add many by myself. I believe it might just be some games (ME2 for example) detecting if Origin is installed and in that case tying themselves to the active Origin account.

Well, I agree with Tizzysawr, it's probably just some games. NFS Shift didn't add itself (though it doesn't have a CD key) and neither did Shank 2.

EDIT: Just spent some time talking with Origin's Support. They have no idea about this auto add game thing. But he offered to add my Mass Effect 1 to my Origin account, so that was awesome. :D

I hate everyone who can get games added to their Origin account.

I always get the same guy who has no idea what he has to do. Or calls me a liar.

You should get a customer satisfaction survey there. You can always give him full negative rating and add a note stating he called you a liar. Should get him fired pretty quick.

As if EA cared what these drones did. Feh.

The last time I had a really useless rep, they didn't even bother to send the survey. Probably because they knew I'd respond negatively in the feedback.
