Dalswyn: There is at least one movie showing fat people being chased down, but the effect is not exactly terrifying.

As for video-games, in Trapped Dead, one of the playable characters is in a wheelchair.

I had never heard of that movie, but the idea of Elvis Presley duking it out with a mummy is appealing. :)

Kardwill: I think that kind of things existed/exists in every country.

tinyE: No that's not what I meant, sorry. :P I meant when all three of those things showed up here there was a large contingent of people in the States that thought it was a sign of "IMPENDING DOOM".
Yeah, I know what you meant. I was trying to say that I saw large groups of people in France lose their shit and preach apocalypse about the same "problems", so I think it's more a "humanity" tendency than an american one.
Sorry if I wasn't clear ^^

ScotchMonkey: Fable 2 and 3.

I remember because when I became king I married the fat grumpy blacksmith.
Pretty sure Fable 1 and Fable TLC allow for it too. Fable 2 introduced kids into the mix which can only be spawned by man and wife, but it was initially bugged and two men or two women could have a child (I just assumed adoption).

Shadowstalker16: Don't have Hearthfire; and I'm still getting into it. Anyhow, modding just adds a +1 any which way.

ElTerprise: Without any doubt. I just wanted to point that same-sex marriage in that game has nothing to do with mods.
Thanks! Didn't know. I didn't even know it had marriage until I saw the Hearthfire DLC and I assumed everything related to it was in there.

dtgreene: I am curious what games are out there that allow characters of the same sex to marry.
I wonder what games out there allow characters to marry but don't allow same sex marriage.

One guess, Bible Man

You're welcome. Iirc Hearthfire only expanded the marriage mechanics a bit in terms of adopting orphaned children etc..

Well, the Agarest: Generations of War games should fall into that category, since (plot spoiler for the first 3 minutes of the game) your PC has to be a guy, and you have to have a child with one of the gals the game throws in your path.

That's just because no man in his right mind would marry such a freak.

No woman in her right mind either, by the way.

One important clarification: simply having same sex romance isn't enough; marriage must actually occur.
Dunno if anyone mentioned it already or not but Skyrim allows this. I played a female elf character but I'm a heterosexual male and my thinking was if I am going to play a game for 200 hours (which actually turned out to be over 600 hours before completion) then I want to look at decent looking female characters as much as possible rather than some other scenario. So when the option to marry opens up, I thought for a laugh I'd try to approach another woman to see what happens and the game engine goes along with it and lets you follow through.

Hopefully a future DLC lets you make your own harem or something LOL. In actuality there is probably a MOD for that I'm sure.
