You can use MaGog to answer that question or even isthereanydeal.com
The most infamous titles that "never" go on sale are Arx Fatalis and Gothic.

X-com: I know I've never seen The Incredible Machine Mega Pack ever go on sale here and I'd buy it at a discounted price
I've bought it on Feb 25th, 2013. Pretty sure it was discounted back then.

But you are right. It isn't discounted very often.
Every year GOG have at least two huge sales.
So no, I don't think so [that such games existed]

XYCat: Panzer general 2 and 3D rarely get discounted and Oddworld: Stranger's wrath isn't on discount that often as well. The same goes for Advent rising
Advent Rising was on sale fairly recently, though. It was in a weekend promo in January, I believe.

johnnygoging: The gothic games and oddworld games have been on good sales in the fairly recent past. Yeah when Arx Fatalis disappearing anyway? Bad show on Bethesda if they don't put it on sale before it expires.
Wait, Arx Fatalis is disappearing? That's the first I heard about this. How did you hear about that?

I know, but unlike other games it very rarely gets on promos

Ha, guess I got lucky, then :) Very enjoyable game, apart from the rather frequent CTDs.

Mr.Caine: When was the last time Shovel Knight got a discount?
Maybe like 15% during insomnia. I think the devs forgot it's on here.
Gothic also didn't had a significant discount for some time.

madth3: You're correct. It was part of the Mutators promo.
I got it then.
Ah, right. That's what it was.
If I remember correctly, I actually thought about getting Divine Divinity during that particular promo, but ended up buying Long Live the Queen, Shadow Warrior Classic and Total Overdose instead.

Nothing official. When Arx Fatalis was first released on GOG, its developer/publisher (Arkane Studios) was still independent. 2 years later, the company would be bought by Zenimax, the parent company of Bethesda. There was talk, then, that Zenimax (despite not having signed a deal with GOG), would honor the deal between GOG and Arkane Studios. Since Bethesda/Zenimax haven't signed with GOG as of yet, though, there is fear that when the contract between GOG and Arkane Studios expires, it won't be renewed and, as a result, the game will have to be removed from GOG. A fear that got stronger after the removal of the Fallout games.

Well, that would be a bummer...
Still, good to know. It's one of these games that I was always going to pick up "when I get around to it". Since it's never on promo, I always figure that I own enough games already, and it can wait a bit longer.
It was quite similar with Blade of Darkness, which was then removed on very short notice. So, Arx Fatalis has moved up on the wishlist now quite a few steps ;)

FredericoR: Hello, I've been in the community for a while but never dared to start my own topic, so I hope I'm not doing anything wrong! =p

Since I discovered GOG I've been trying to see if I could get the "divine divinity" with a discount but never got the chance to, even looking for it at every promotion. Then there came to me a question: Are there GOG games that never go to promotions? Have somebody ever seen the Divine Divinity with a discount, for example?
avatar
justanoldgamer: I got it for $1.49 in November 2013. I'd be surprised if it was not discounted again by next November.
Wow, I certantly didn't see it this november, I will hope that this is the case!

InfraSuperman: Divine Divinity has been on sale quite a few times.
It was 80% off last October. I think it was in some special promo.

Ouch! I don't know how I could miss it. Is there a way to set a notification to warn when a game gets a discount ?

Sadly not in GOG.
You can try using IsThereAnyDeal.com but they're not great with GOG deals.
