SargonAelther: Since we're not getting the Trails in the Sky remake, I no longer take Falcom games for granted. I'll believe that it's coming once a page appears on GOG.
The issue with the Trails 1st remake is the change of publisher, NISA is still in charge of Proud Nordics

That is certainly one way to look at it. But here's an alternative:

We do not have every game from NISA. We do not have every game from XSEED. We do not have every game from Aksys. We do not have every game from Mastiff. Heck with Aksys, we literally just have that one Falcom game and nothing else.

That implies that Falcom decides where to publish and not the publishers. So maybe Falcom is fed up with GOG. I'm sure they see the sales reports too.

Also NISA has had a massive profit drop too. Things like this can make a company look for scapegoats and, boy, is GOG one attractive scapegoat.

Anyway, I hope I'm wrong.

Unfortunately it appears (via 4chan /v/ so for whatever that's actually worth) some people pirate from GOG because the installers feel "safe", compared to torrenting games from other sites (which I guess is associated much more with malware and virus injections, compared to installers, even though we're all talking about ultimately using EXEs?). And at least one site (with an evershifting domain it appears) is dedicated to pirating specifically from GOG. :( I wonder if that's becoming more mainstream, but I certainly hope not. (I sent the link to Jed, I assume by now GOG has done what they can.)

That's a weird way of being "fed up" by releasing daybreak 2 and announcing Beyond the Horizon for next year lmao

The most logical answer is that NISA wants the whole series (both trails ad Ys) here because ultimately cutting it short would only piss off longtime buyers

Also these games are not that big, every sale counts

Stirring in the darkness of the GOGBear cave, there's a shadowy contour of Big Helmet Heroes, drawing ever closer.

alexandros050: Shenmue 3 Enhanced Edition announced.

Not confirmed for GOG but hopefully it will be here.

Swedrami: https://shenmuedojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Shenmue-Enhanced-Announcement-August-18th-2025.pdf

"Owners of the original Shenmue III on PS4 and PC will be offered an upgrade path to the Enhanced Edition, with details coming soon."

GoG not mentioned explicitly can be chalked up to the usual forgetfulness, I reckon.
So I asked shenmue Dojo on this video where they interview ININ games https://youtu.be/4pu6B5Tev10?si=jjIGeIGFPXVegxg3 about the release of the enhanced edition on GOG and the answer on the comments was that it is still under consideration.....I really hope it comes here but as usual I will keep my expectation low. My guess is that they would probably not even offer the upgrade on Epic but they have to do it now since the kickstarter keys were only for the epic version and many people would get pissed. The option to upgrade to the enhanced edition (if it comes here) will be about 20-25 Euro
For the people interested what we can do for now is contact ININ games and let them know about it.

Yes, but who knows when those contracts were signed. Falcom/NISA may have changed their minds since and not signed anything for the newer games.

I wish Falcom and GungHo would think of that, because regardless of which one is at fault, GungHo will take most of the backlash, especially given their history with GOG and Grandia.

Indeed, but it depends on whether NISA think that GOG is adding to the sales numbers or if they suddenly think that GOG is costing them sales.

DISCLAIMER 1: The identify of these games were merely deduced based on circumstantial API data. So, I'm basically just a $#!t-posting GOG user providing no evidence whatsoever to back up these claims, take anything you see with a grain of salt.
DISCLAIMER 2: A member of the GOG staff already teased that they would try to fool me with misleading red herrings.
DISCLAIMER 3: A number of these entries, including some of the biggest names here, have been inactive for years. Bus Simulator 18 by all accounts appears to have been otherwise wiped from GOG's API, and Unreal Tournament 3 has been inactive since the re-release cancellation announcement. So don't expect any one of these games to come anytime soon just because I'm posting this now.

If 90% of the games had been anime with young girls in short skirts and huge eyes it might have looked real... ;)
It feels those games are the only ones we get nowadays.
Oh well, good for those that are into that I guess...

SCPM: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
NICE!

avatar
SCPM: Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
What? The stand-alone expansion without the base game about Peter? Hopefully that's coming too.

avatar
SCPM: RAGE
Finally.

SCPM: Unknown 9: Awakening
In that case I want Forspoken too.

Insane get. As your disclaimers suggest though, I'm reminded of Assassin's Creed 2 and Civ 5 being found years ago.

If this turns out to be real, my only real disappoint (well, off the top of my head) is no C&C or other EA games here. Iron Lung is probably real since DuskDev recently confirmed he's still working on bringing his games here. I can believe that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will show up in the not to far future, unless GOG expects no new sales unless it's deeply discounted because "everyone" already bought it on Steam.

Well..
Whom I'm need to beg for it upon release ? xD

PS: Yes I have a strange taste in games...

SCPM: Horizon Forbidden West

RAGE

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

Resident Evil 4

Sifu

The Last of Us Part I
Those would all be instant purchases for me. Add

Vanquish

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West

to the list, and you'd make me perfectly happy.

- Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong

However, I think it could really be a title of it. I hope for "The Last of Us Part I" or "RAGE".

Could you perhaps add the game ID for each, if not too difficult?
