SCAgent: Well I have my own (DRM-Free) copies, but I would love to see the Legacy SC games here (SC1-4), but this is ubisoft, they are very pro-DRM so chances of us seeing any ubi games here again are slim.

G360LIVE: Ubisoft will probably be bought out soon, so there's hope. :)
They are indeed not exactly in the best shape so their policy seems to have a weak spot. No matter what, i feel a change is only gonna be possible with a new leadership... which is less stubborn and with more "common sense".

Sudeki will apparently be re-listed.

Already owned it before it was delisted, but good to hear that it's coming back. ;)

Is this the jRPG they were hinting to bring back for the preservation program next? :P

Highly doubt it. This game was already on GOG and just being relisted.

I know, I'm half joking, for it would be rather underwhelming.

According to Kagura, GOG's been sent the build for Rance IX. This is a pretty big deal because Alicesoft is the Capcom of the eroge industry. It was also noted from the same PR manager I talked to that they think GOG has a "very odd game releasing schedule." To be honest, they've had the build since earlier this month, so God only knows when they'll release it. We're talking an over 100 hour JRPG here and it's a strategy game this time. Rance IX has been released everywhere else except for Steam and Epic of course.

Excellent news, thanks for sharing.

Pretty weird indeed, it's not like GOG is drowning in JRPGs and they even started the spring sale without a new release, sure Rance isn't for everyone (or even most people lol) but sometimes I truly wonder if they put *any* thought in the release schedule

Given recent decisions GOG made in this sector I would not be surprised if they decided to test it completely an ulimately would reject it afterwards.

Probably just waiting for the right moment.
They're deliberately not just dumping a bunch of titles each and every day - like on other platforms - after all.

The dev of [BAFTA nominated] Vampire Therapist has confirmed [in direct email] that the Couples Therapy DLC will be coming to GOG, just that they're behind in schedule at the moment.

He also said that the Mac and Linux builds should come around the same time.

Best case scenario, GOG is simply swamped with other games they want to prioritize first before releasing it (though frankly, they usually don't officially announce eroge/VN stuff anymore, so I don't see the issue with stealth dropping it in between other things unless they really want to make an announcement for the release of a series like Rance).

Worst case scenario, GOG is ghosting MangaGamer like they did with JASTUSA by not releasing something handed to them months ago for review and cutting off communication. In this case, with the recent rehaul of the wish list system into the "Dreamlist" and the recent rumors of getting more high profile games/publishers on board, it could be an indicator of them shifting focus again and making sure something that could be a liability like ergoe games don't affect negotiations or GOG's general perception to newcomers. On one hand, I couldn't blame GOG for wanting to prioritize games that are clearly more popular than eroges will ever be (especially from a financial stand point). On the other, it still sucks because I think it was nice that a more high profile digital store was willing to sell this stuff without being horribly inconsistent like Steam.

Except eroge and porn games should be decently profitable, maybe not on the level of *multiple* AAA releases, but they're also risking not getting any and burning the MangaGamer bridge in the process :D

Ultimately I don't think selling R18 games plays a huge factor in negotiations, most japanese publishers surely wouldn't mind, and it's hard to imagine a western publisher dying on that hill

And that also brings the question, is getting one or two big games worth losing the trust of smaller publishers? big publishers aren't exactly reliable (looking at Sony) and could abandon GOG in a minute's notice if the sales aren't that great
