There's a lot hanging on whether Hellblade 2 comes to gog, its a massive litmus test on whether the studios gobbled by Microsoft have the autonomy they were promised.
I'd be getting it but feel it will add to the collection of "games I love the look of, but am actually shite at playing"

Might have indeed been more suited for this thread over here, especially considering GoG's past track record of putting something out there, like a screenshot of the Dungeon Master 2 manual, get everyone's hopes up and then confirming that there was nothing to it after all.

If true and Hellblade 2 is actually scheduled for a GoG release - well, that would be quite something.

Unfortunately I think it might just be them meme-ing because that picture is making the rounds on gaming press / social media.

TBH I thought Hellblade 2 was already confirmed and had a "coming soon" store page.

Certainly wouldn't hold my breath just yet, because, if you remember, Ninja Theory has been bought up by Microsoft.

I would love to see Hellblade 2 here, but as far as I know nothing has ever been said.

At the Time Ninja Theory was bought up, MS also grabbed InXile and Obsidian

I eMailed all three about what this means for GOG.

InXile said they're still planning to support GOG
Obsidian have said they can't make promises, but intend to support as many platforms as they can

Both have still been supportive with remakes and DLCs post MS purchase, though Pentiment by Obsidian hasn't come here yet. They also made Grounded, but give its heavy MP focus I can kind of see why that didn't come here.

But for me HellBlade 2 is a biggy, its pretty much going to be an AAA game. It will be a great signal if it does geta timely GOG release
