angelblue: Once again, this isn't an official confirmation of a release, so let's stay cautious. But the great Tim Sweeney (CEO of Epic Games) himself “liked” my post in which I asked if they planned to release their exclusive titles (like Alan Wake 2) on GOG.

See the attached photo and the link in my tweet where he liked it: https://x.com/Angelbl68064509/status/2077780126591267000

Fingers crossed, and don’t forget to vote for Epic Games titles on the GOG Dreamlist (like Alan Wake 2).
Some Epic Games Store exclusives (I'm sure I'm forgetting others)

Nergal01: Hmmm, interesting. Let's be patient and see if anything happens on that front.
Not to get any hopes up because it's possible Tim was just being positive towards GOG in general, but back in 2017 he liked a tweet of mine requesting the Jazz games come to GOG, and I believe it wasn't too long after that they showed up here. He didn't like any of my tweets requesting the return of the Unreal games in recent years.

Maybe he's willing to let GOG have installer versions of certain single-player titles once sales have dropped low enough on EGS, in an attempt to do more to chip away at Steam's market share or something. shrug Again, don't want to raise hopes, just thinking out loud.

tfishell: ... Yeah but as an old-timer, the same could be said of numerous other publishers, like EA and Ubi...
Unless they also went on a somewhat recent release-spree of their cult classics here that I'm not aware of - no, the same could not have been said about them.

What a cliche reply dude, come on. You think I'm waiting to buy a game here just because I refuse to buy it anywhere else?

It's possible Capcom might never release here again, or could take many years to release here again. It's happened with Activision, Square Enix, and Focus before. I don't want that, I'm just saying.

Might be cliche but it's a fair answer. :-)

True. I guess that's what you get for making people in this thread remember an actual good game that is yet to be released here.

It is very important to support this series because it is actually a wonder this series still was able to survive until now. Comparable JRPGs such as BoF, Suikoden or Wild Arms... has been totally wiped... so for anyone with just a scratch of JRPG-heart left... supporting one of the last bigger JRPG-series is almost a "must". If it even is finally released on GOG... then it is totally "must support". Sure, i already do own both titles as a PS5 BD and even a Steam-copy (i should be ashamed) but if a GOG version is finally released i would buy it a third time... which is crazy but i just want to make my voice count, so it may hopefully survive.

Sure, "Divine Story" is not a bad game but it surely is not at the level of "Second Story R" which is the true "shinie" here. At least with Divine Story the series was going up a little in quality, which was at the lowest level when "Integrity and Faithlessness" has been released... which almost was killing this series. Luckily... they was able to improve on the next title and the Second Story R Remake is a well made game, i can recommend.

I even really enjoyed The Last Hope (despite it's cheese) and look forward to buying Divine Force. In defense of Star Ocean, it's been doing what I've wanted Phantasy Star to do for a long time now; offer a premium single player JRPG experience in a sci-fi setting. I'm pretty excited to see DF release here, probably more than Second Story R tbh. Tri-Ace is awesome. Would be great to see Resonance of Fate here too.
Indeed, i would love having Resonance of Fate on GOG as well; this is another rather underrated gem that would require some more audience. Probably not impossible but the ball seems to be in tri-Aces hands, as SE is probably not involved with the publishing and/or development.

What i would enjoy the most is a remaster of "Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time"; but so far this does not seem to happen on PC. Even the console-versions apparently are "just" some emulation. I am afraid perhaps SE was losing the source code... which could become a real hassle into preserving it and without emulation a good preservation would be near impossible.

Perhaps "the best" Star Oceans are 2 and 3 (Second Story, Till the end of Time), Star Ocean 4 and 6 (The Last Hope, Divine Force) i see roughly in the same "ballpark". Star Ocean 5 was widely considered the weakest of them, guess have to agree. However, so far it is only available on PS4 (of course it works on a PS5 too). Anyway, taste can be different, fair enough... I just hope the series will continue and having some more audience on GOG should be able to help this matter.

Suzerain: Socialist Republic of Galmland Announcement
https://www.suzeraingame.com/galmland

"As Premier Vigdis Gjalmir, you must build a new society, implement sweeping reforms, and navigate the power struggles that threaten your vision. How will you deliver?"

"Galmland takes players to a republic born from revolution, where Premier Vigdis Gjalmir must transform revolutionary ideals into lasting institutions and meaningful change. By advancing a new ideology, delegating governance, and managing competing political interests, players will guide a young and ambitious state through a pivotal chapter in its history as it seeks to fulfill its destiny. As a member of the Contanan Security Pact, the powerful communist alliance, Galmland must balance its revolutionary ambitions with the realities of international politics.

As the third playable nation in the Suzerain Universe franchise, following the Republic of Sordland and the Kingdom of Rizia, Galmland expands Torpor Games' signature blend of political decision-making, consequence-driven storytelling, and strategy systems. With a focus on planned economics, the implementation of laws, and foreign policy, 'Socialist Republic of Galmland' challenges players to shape the future of one of the most ambitious political projects of Eastern Merkopa. Suzerain: Socialist Republic of Galmland is planned for release following Wars of Suzerain."

Suzerain Stories: The Neutral Lens Announcement
https://www.suzeraingame.com/the-neutral-lens

"Host The Neutral Lens, Geopolitico's groundbreaking news program, navigate personal and professional challenges in a story of competing loyalties, difficult compromises, and search for your place in a rapidly changing world. What story will you tell?"

"With Suzerain Stories: The Neutral Lens, players trade political office for the pressure of a television studio. Players are cast in the role of Ilias Morris, host of The Neutral Lens, the world's first international television program and the broadcasting arm of the renowned newspaper Geopolitico. Set in the diplomatic powerhouse nation of Kyrute, players pursue stories and decide which voices to amplify, influencing public perception and the course of events around them. Featuring familiar faces, original characters, and morally complex storylines, The Neutral Lens explores the growing influence of media on politics, society, and public perception. Planned for release in 2026.

Through this new aperture into the Suzerain Universe, players witness history not from the halls of power, but through the stories, conflicts, and personalities that shape public perception. The Neutral Lens is the first title in the new Stories product line. Torpor Games is ready to explore many more interesting angles to the franchise in the future."

Wars of Suzerain Announcement
https://www.warsofsuzeraingame.com/

"Join the ranks of the Kingdom of Rumburg’s high command and lead your forces in the struggle against the Republic of Agnolia’s unyielding army. A high-stakes, turn-based war strategy game set in the Suzerain Universe where every decision on the battlefield can decide the outcome of the war. How will you prevail?"

"Wars of Suzerain transforms the well-received war system introduced in 'Kingdom of Rizia' into a full standalone turn-based strategy game. Featuring tactical combat, operational decision-making, and a military campaign set during one of the Suzerain Universe's most significant conflicts, Wars of Suzerain places players at the fulcrum of a war that reshaped the geopolitical landscape of East Merkopa. The game serves as the primary vehicle for telling stories of conflict within the Suzerain IP, where every action, every decision, and every battlefield victory carries political and human consequences that shape the war effort.

Shifting from the studio's traditional narrative-first formula to a gameplay-first strategy experience, Wars of Suzerain challenges players to think like military commanders while engaging with the political realities of war. As rival factions compete to shape the kingdom's destiny, players must balance military objectives with competing interests. In the battlefield where small tactical choices can lead to major consequences in the field and beyond. The game is planned for release following 'Suzerain Stories: The Neutral Lens'."

Some new API hits from the GOGBear sniffers:

- Tower of Kalemonvo
- Flesh Made Fear
- Spiral (a separate, second blip)

Most of these were otherwise confirmed anyway, but finding them in the API is definitely a step in the right direction.

New Bolt Action game coming to GOG. Based on a mini game of the same name.

Hopefully we will get a Konflict 47 version as well.

Rubercaine: Shame they just kind of stopped releasing Capcom titles, like RE.

Patience is a virtue that's in very short supply these days.

Did you actually read my other comments, or did you just get instantly triggered by this one and felt compelled to reply?
