Is there any news on the later Army Men games? Would love to see if Army Men - World War appears in GOG.
It seems GOG rose up to the challenge of PC Gamer
Anyone wants to comment on this?

Mere bravado or do they have something up their sleeve?

Besides a few thousand German people who wouldn't get Wolfenstein either way? :)

I'm guessing largely bravado, there are a lot of licensed games on that list that are probably never going to see the light of day again...
But who knows...

I'm going to go out on a limb and say NOLF. I have given my reasoning back when Night Dive Studios said the negotiations fell through, and it hasn't changed.
The other possibilities I see are Full Throttle (almost a guarantee, but most likely when the remake hits), SWAT 4 (though I think there are compatibility issues with it), Black & White which seems like an EA possibility, or maybe GOG did grab a few more Star Trek games.

Still, if I had to guess, I'd stick with NOLF. Now to see if this will be taken as gospel or not ;)

I've seen GOG starting to acquire IPs of their own when possible lately, so who knows what's going on behind the scenes. It may be mostly bravado, but I bet there's also a grain of truth somewhere in there...

They probably have grabbed some games from the list, but it would be particularly hilarious if it was just Full Throttle. :P
Well I would be shocked if Full Throttle: Remastered is not here day one next year. However, it is a bit weird that they are just replying to it now since it was posted eight days ago. That does make me feel hopeful that it will be something more. NOLF would be an amazing Christmas present! Maybe with the recent Mechwarrior announcement Mechwarrior 2 is getting rereleased? Blade Runner and Discworld are the two I want the most from that list and are two that I have the least hope of getting rereleased.
I've got to the point where I reckon it's unwise to rule anything out.

After all, I believe there was a time when quite a few people were sceptical about having things like Star Wars or Star Trek here, or publishers like Disney and Bethesda.

I'll happily remain optimistic and see what surprises the future holds. :-)

No Dune on that list? Yeah, that list is dead to me :P

Angry?
Go punch this guy. He's the one to blame.
Mafia? The obstacles are not obvious, might be doable if 2K wants.

IIRC the main obstacle for a re-publishing of the game were copyright issues concerning the excellent soundtrack by Django Reinhardt. Don't know if it still applies, though.

I'd love for it to be here. One of the best games I've ever played.

In all fairness to the skeptics, there hasn't been much else that's been done on the ST front apart from the original Interplay classics, and we've yet to see Fallout 3/NV or Oblivion make their way here (although it is inevitable that they will, if we go by SCPM's list). Then again, I don't think anyone expected Disney's classic plaformers to actually show up here either.

While I won't hold my breath for NOLF 1/2, being able to get System Shock 1/2 was enough to make me believe that if there's anyone who can do it (or get other games like Powerslave), it's GOG.

Also, I'd probably bet that Full Throttle Remastered will more likely than not come to GOG, since it's our old friends at Double Fine who are doing it. If they're able to include the original game as an extra though, that'd be enough to actually impress me.

Well, I know we don't have everything that's available from the Star Wars franchise, and we're definitely missing quite a few from the Star Trek one, but given that it only seemed a distant hope at one point, as far as I'm concerned, something's better than nothing. :-)

I've got most of the missing titles you mentioned in physical format, but unfortunately some of them are getting harder to run without jumping through a number of hoops, so I really hope that at least a few will make it here at some point.
