SCPM: A bunch of classic 3DO games are coming to GOG soon:
http://retroism.com/join-die-classic-cyclone-studios3do-uprising-games-go-digital/
Uprising: Join or Die (1997) (Cyclone Studios)
Uprising: Lead and Destroy (1998) (Cyclone Studios)
Requiem: Avenging Angel (1997) (Cyclone Studios)
Killing Time (1996) (Studio 3DO)
Captain Quazar (1996) (Studio 3DO/Cyclone Studios)
BattleTanx (1998) (3DO)
Whoa, sweet Thursday!

I wonder who did the technical work, since GOG was originally having trouble getting Uprising to run. (Perhaps this is what nGlide's Zeus meant when he said he was busy with GOG work; Uprising 1 & 2 and Requiem AA are both compatible with nGlide - http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide/compatibility

Wow, seeing Uprising on GOG would be great news! I haven't played that game in forever! "Incoming... Citadel!"

Also, GOG may want to ask Retroism to edit out "Good Old Games (GoG)" and change it to "GOG", unless they want that misinformation to persist.

The-Business: 3DO games? So there is hope for Plumbers Don't Wear Ties.
That game is a masterpiece in the way that Plan 9 From Outer Space is a masterpiece. Unfortunately Gog isn't really into visual novels.

Be sure to watch the AVGN's review of that game!

Probably among his best works, imho.
And 3DO has so many great IPs, both on their ill fated console/softhouse...

The special edition in here was supreme. Until the game was banned due to a shooting in a movie theater.
Sad ;(

Ha, never thought I'd see this again! I remember playing the demo back in the day... not a bad dawn of the dead in the prohibition era shooter.

vicklemos: DAAAAAMN!

edit: daheck, the n64 game I dearly love and still play? How? Why?
DAAAAAMN!
Maybe they actually meant "BattleSport"? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BattleSport It had a Windows release but was, apparently, a rather mediocre game.

EDIT: Or maybe not! Maybe they're going to port it from N64, similar to how Night Dive is considering porting the N64 Turok games to PC. (However that works.) Or just throw it in an emulator, like Bubsy. :-/

Humm I think it's the second option ;)
NightDive did an astonishing job with Turok (and it seems that Powerslave/Forsaken are goin' the same way).
Hope they'll keep on doing that. Battletanx on the n64 is amazing, but you know what's even better? 60fps + 1080p + controllers + htpc and real people sittin' on the same couch ;D

ps: I """kinda""" liked BattleSport. But Ballblazer was more my cup of tea!

vicklemos: [...] Battletanx on the n64 is amazing, [...]
The first BattleTanx was cool, but pretty limited. The sequel, BattleTanx: Global Assault, was awesome, though, and is still fun today (though obviously very dated).

As for the rest of those listed 3DO games, I don't think I've heard of a single one.

It also had a pretty cool tv commercial ;P
The ads on magazines were awesome, too, like the tank chasing dorothy and the wizard of oz gang ;P

And you gotta go check Requiem and the others. Great games. Even killing time is cool, I remember playing it on a huge mac display back in the day. What a blast!

I hope it's treated as a separate game (i.e. you don't have to own Season 1 here on GOG to be able to purchase Season 2).
