Ancient-Red-Dragon: It being the developer's twitters doesn't automatically make the statement be true, contrary to the implication of the first line of the quoted post.
Not to mention the fact that these devs have a proven history of lying about other things. I.e. first they said Agony wasn't going to be censored at all, but then they released a censored version.
Then they claimed the censored version wasn't censored, even though it was heavily censored.
Later they released "Agony Unrated" which apparently corrected the censorship issues at long last...but that doesn't erase the devs' shady history of having lied about those matters before that point.
And Agony Unrated also apparently improved most of the other issues that the original censored release of Agony had...yet Agony Unrated was also banned by GOG anyway. Therefore, the argument that Agony Unrated was allegedly rejected by GOG due to being poor quality, rather than due to it's AO rating, doesn't hold up.
And why would Succubus by the first hardcore AO game that GOG releases, when they refused to respond to the Subverse devs just a couple of months ago? That doesn't add up.
GOG is suddenly going to start allowing AO games onto its store out of the blue? I'll believe that when I see it. Until then, I highly doubt it would actually happen.
I really don't even want to give you a response, but this will be the one and only time. Simply put, you're a negativity spreader. You knee-jerk respond without even thinking, and just go straight into the negativity mode. You're like a forum cancer, and in my opinion a complete joke. I'm wondering what happened to you in your life to make you so jaded... Did some woman step all over you or something with you on your hands and knees, or leave you for another man? You a man-child, or just an edgy and rebellious jaded teen? Just a tip for you, but people generally don't like to be around some who acts like you. Negativity is contagious, and you'd be looked at as unhealthy to be around.
Agony had issues, because the studio was forced to do things at the time in regards to the game. Unfortunately, having console releases funded, the need for a publisher and them having contractual control over certain things within the game made it so an AO uncensored version on PC wasn't possible from the beginning. It would require a whole new release on PC.
An unrated version that was self published by the Studio did get released however, and it was given to everyone who owned the base game for free, or it might have been 99 cents actually because of Steam rules at the time. Don't remember. They weren't going to make that mistake again, and learned from it.
You're like the asshole who doesn't let anyone make a mistake, and will never let them hear the end of it if they do. You must be the only person in this world who's perfect, huh?
I never made an argument that GOG rejected Agony for quality reasons. I only suggested that could be one of possivbly many reasons. I have no idea why it was rejected or not, it could have just been rejected because of the game it was at the time. But as with anything, things can and do change.
As for Subverse, I personally wouldn't have been objecting to it being released here, because it was a high profile and large budget adult game, but for whatever reason GOG decided they didn't want the game here. Maybe because the game was too focused on the pornographic aspect, maybe because it was too "hentai" for them, or maybe they just don't like StudioFOW, like a lot of major studios don't. GOG can refuse any game for whatever reason they want, and I'll stand by GOG on it because that's what I signed up for when I created an account here. I accept their curation, even if I don't always agree with it, and I don't want to see GOG turn into the shit show that is now Steam.
But are you actually suggesting that there's no difference between StudioFOW and Madmind Studio? Or even that there's no difference between Subverse and Succubus? I'm sure it's hard for you, but don't be stupid.
Madmind Studio is comprised of vetern game developers who've worked on AAA titles in the past. StudioFOW is comprised of degenerates who made hentai animations of copyrighted videogame girls getting gang raped by humanoids, monsters, beasts, etc.
Let me remind you - You're also the guy who at one point was arguing that things like Cyberpunk and The Witcher are the same thing as hardcore porn. Which is completely moronic, and a clear sign you're completely out of touch with reality.
