That press release mentions "additional digital retailers". If all the digital retailers were set in stone, there would be no reason not to list them all, which means there were platforms they were still negotiating with but couldn't yet announce as of October 4th. The IGN article was posted on October 9th. It's possible in that five day period a GOG deal was finalized.

New company in the catalog: Wild River Games - would line up with Battle Planet: Judgement Day. The company got bought at the start of the month and rebranded from "Diviad" (article in German):
They are all after you - behind the convict, who just managed to flee from an accidental transport ship. “All of them” means heavily armed police, soldiers, nasty aliens and deadly robots. Make your way through the approaching hordes, fight through violent explosions and blazing fire, and try not to go under in this endless orgy of brute force.

From a bird's eye view, you can see the huge battlefield in which you are moving: the surface of whole planets, which turn in perspective with you. After fighting your way through one planet, the transport capsule will take you to the next one.

Discover an entire galaxy of randomly generated new planets with different surfaces and conditions. Be sure to use the many upgrades that keep you on your way. Because you have only one goal - survival!

Features

Gripping rogue-like action
Endless planets to discover
Gigantic boss fights
Tons of weapons and upgrades
But don't we all hope for Pretzel Land?

Honestly I am all for "hope", heck I still hope we will see some Tales of or other Bamco games on here, but there is some limit. Having RDR2 here and one release day is not even in my wildest dreams. It's their biggest PC release in years, it's still a very recent game, and we don't even have their 10+ years old other games.

I suspect it will probably have the latest Denuvo, requirement to be connect to the Rockstar online thingy.

The only way I would see that even remotely possible (i.e. having it on Gog) would be if Rockstar only care about the online component micro transactions to make money and doesn't give a damn about the solo campaign.

Yeah, IGN just edited the article to swap out GOG with Green Man Gaming. *kicks dirt*

It was a nice delusion while it lasted. I'd gladly take Rockstar releasing their older titles here as an apology for this misunderstanding.

Nice catch! Did not expect this so soon. It will only be episode 1 for the time being, mind you.

And probably forever given the lack of progress of the Japanese version...

You may be right. Ep1 is like 6 years old by now right? Remaking it with the KENIX engine as DP NEUES aside, it's still too much time between episodes...

6 years! Sweet cosmos.
But the fact it's only Episode 1 explains the comparatively low price, so thanks for the info. I'll go cry in a corner now. :c

It's adventure time!

Enter Bahlam, a sunken fortress of the Old Gods, located deep in the South Atlantic Ocean. Following a shipwreck, maritime archaeologist and adventurer Nikolay Bernstein regains consciousness 36.000 feet under the sea. He's severely wounded and unwillingly connected to a supernatural Buddy-unit. Searching for answers about his displacement our main protagonist digs deep into the lost undercity, gradually realizing an ominous presence hollowing in its shadowed caverns.

On your journey home you will share your fate with a friendly tribe of mining creatures, the Wozan, who fear the Old Gods and strive to get back to the surface since their ancestors had been enslaved 5000 years ago. Some of them were able to flee and founded secret colonies deep inside the sunken ruins, others are still exploited by the hostile creatures that have overtaken the city since the Old Gods suddenly disappeared.

Non-linear, gear-based progression

Experience real non-linear metroidvania gamplay and uncover five distinct areas, all with remarkable puzzles, environmental hazards, epic boss encounters and captured Wozan to uncage. Your Buddy unit will procedurally map the area and function as a handy quality of life tool that can be controlled at will to manipulate your surroundings using various abilities like hacking, scanning and telekinesis.

Explore Bahlam with a high freedom of movement like climbing, crawling and diving right from the start. As you progress your set of options will expand by discovering ancient weapon systems, suit upgrades and hacking protocols for your droid. All gear will be carefully balanced in terms of combat abilities and has to be used selectively to overcome specific hazards and puzzles.

Local Co-Op mode

The local Co-Op option invites a second player to explore and experience this adventure together by taking control over the invincible Buddy unit. Support each other on your journey home, solve puzzles and overcome Bahlam's hostile maze.
