Big thanks to everyone for chiming in with their opinion, it really helped us greatly to see the overall sentiment regarding the subject.

After consideration we have decided that from now on all threads regarding any kind of delisting will be stickied, starting from the time of the announcement to the time when said delisting actually happens. After that, they will be un-stickied.
With this we hope to increase the visibility for everyone interested, so that they can finalise their purchase before the product disappears from our storefront.

While I'm here, I'd also like to reassure you that we will let you know about delistings as soon as we receive the information from the publisher (or otherwise) ourselves.

I am also planning on cleaning up the sticky list as it is a bit cluttered right now, but that will come at a later date.

If you got any questions, let me know!

Sticky please. It's just way too easy to miss them otherwise. Thank you!

Definitely sticky!

Cavalary: Other than perhaps the unofficial DVD covers, really don't see what could be removed from stickies.
Agree.

Well, if it were up to me, I'd also remove:

- STICKY: The "What did just update" thread (it will get bumped all the time anyway)
- STICKY: GOG news and staff threads, 2021- (do we really need this to be sticky?)
- STICKY: General Linux FAQ and Troubleshooting (while I appreciate this thread, its content does not belong on the forum, at least not as a sticky, but should rather be captured or referred to in the "Game Technical Issues" support section)

No offense to anyone who thinks differently, this is just my 2 cents.

IMHO if you sticky too much, you're not really stickying/highlighting much at all (think of a computer where all the threads are given high priority)...

Another vote for stickies.
Sticky
Sticky and blinking (=

Maybe also an email and notification (like you have for discounts) if a game in question happens to be in the wishlist.
Always sticky please!

Because its the only way to avoid being buried under all these dumb forum game posts and other nonsense posts that we are unable to hide.
Definitely sticky.
Sticky, and please with a ⚠️ in the topic title for a bit of extra visibility please. :)
Sticky
Sticky. Why? Visibility is very helpful since the number of topics generated can easily make any delisting topic move on the page 2 and beyond, especially for those that login much later in the day.

Also, as WinterSnowfall suggested, starting all topics with the main category in CAPS (and even BOLD) would make is more visible. Ex. STICKY: Spam/bot Report Thread or if possible, just highlight the whole sticky section so it stands out period.

(I'm not in favor of his 2 cents related comment though, sorry buddy!) =P

Also, I have a long list of topics that I tagged as favorites, so the regular list requires scrolling down much further and I imagine I'm not the only one.

Beyond that, if GOG ever decides to do any major revamps, consider tabs or break the categories into sections and each section has a brief description to help users decide where they should post, discuss or seek answers.

While I appreciate originality, if someone out there has a really good idea, emulate them with your own unique touches.

If I have to choose, I would say don't sticky. For me it's much more visible if it is a normal thread and normally there is some discussion in the delisting threads and so there isn't much danger that it leaves page one or gets lost in the general forum.

But imo it would be the best solution to create two threads: One that is closed and sticky and a second one which isn't sticky and open for disacussion and comments. This waqy both crowds will see it and nobody can complain.
Sticky them until after the delisting has occurred, please.

EDIT: To be more specific, I'd prefer a new topic for each delisting (or batch thereof).

If I can train myself to actually look at the pinned topics, so can anyone else. It's not hard, and I promise no one died as a result of my having done it. :P

Considering how quickly news vanish since the redesign, yes that thread is needed there. Especially considering how it's maintained (correctly, otherwise), with posts being edited until they hit the character limit, not making new ones with each update.
A stickied Linux thread is the very least gesture of goodwill GOG can make when Linux gets the short stick when it comes to support in general, and putting it there makes it an easy find for anyone looking for information, not needing to rely on the (really poor) search function.
Same for the update thread, considering the poor job they do of notifying of updates and posting proper changelogs.
I prefer delisting warnings on the front page, where it is easily seen.

However, if we have to stick to the forums, I prefer it sticked because it otherwise be bumped down by other active threads. Additionally, it would help if there is a special marker/symbol to make it easier to spot among other sticky threads.
