I can't say I was surprised as soon as I read the article's first sentence. "After three-and-a-half years of making weirdly unique social games like Fingle and Bounden, Game Oven closed doors in April 2015." I've also never heard of them. Go figure.

These kind of devs have relatively little staying power (unless they're incredibly lucky somehow) and do tend to fizzle quite quickly. Couple that with the mobile gaming world and one's chances at real success are incredibly miniscule.
