Random_Coffee: Can I host public servers with passwords though?
avatar
JudasIscariot: Unfortunately, no. You'd need someone in your circle of friends to create a public server and then you would join it and, thus, there are no password-protected public servers.
That just seems badly done by the developers then.

HereForTheBeer: Excellent! All the money I'm not spending on my wife today, I can instead spend on games!
avatar
mistermumbles: I bet she'll really appreciate that. ;)
Haha - I'm making dinner tonight. Besides, she'll think something's up if I get her a gift today.

------

After lamenting big sales in another recent thread, I'm certainly (and maybe hypocritically) tempted by some of these titles.

Great idea for a sale. :)

I do need to highlight this continuing issue, though:

avatar
blotunga: Of course still no upgrade option for Pillars and Tyranny. And of course preordered games still don't show up as owned :/

It seems that our pleas are ignored. I mean they could at least tell us that they intend to fix these or not...

Well given the fact that Tyranny doesn't even have upgrade options on Steam I doubt that we'll ever see them here...
Nothing interesting for me . Passing .

Shhhhhhhh...best keep that on the down-low. Making her dinner is a nice deflection point though ;-)

Will this be the only promo for the whole week ?
My wishlist seems not to be representative, only 3 games are on sale which either still do not support Linux or are still too expensive. So probably nothing for me. Nevertheless a good sale with some good discounts.

Are the Witcher 1 and 2 games still on so many wishlists? :P

I share your feeling, I have about 75% of the games (even if some don't show up as owned). From the rest about 25% are on my wishlist.... so a total of 6.25% of the entire batch.

vicklemos: Zero discounts for me.
TIL I'm a snowflake.
Yep. Not much from my eclectic wishlist either. FU, GOG! (Just jesting).

It doesn't affect me since I don't own nor am interested in the games, but I think it signifies a containing need to improve or rework the site from the ground up, if GOG really does want to keep growing and keep customers coming back.

It is cool to see the Support area reworked: https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us

Yea, it's a nice touch, I looked into it when trying to get TWD: Michonne running, however my problem isn't mentioned. Stupid Telltale games somehow won't run from a directory with ! In the name, character which i use to have my Games folder the first. I found out about this after I downloaded the manual installer and it wouldn't install to my regular directory.
wonder if ever gonna be a "wanted sale" and we gonna get The Curse of Monkey Island....
Once again, I'm reminded that I don't really like how GOG handles versions of some games. According to this sale, I don't own Pillars of Eternity, but that's just because I bought the Preorder "Basic" version (I don't actually remember what it was called, but it was the cheapest option).

And of course, there are no upgrade path's available, so I can't upgrade to one of the other levels of Pillar's even if I wanted to.

I had the same problem with my kickstarter versions of Wasteland 2 and Divinity: Original Sin, but with the releases of the Directors Cut / Enhanced Editions of these, my kickstarer versions were changed to normal versions.
