Just a curiosity, really.

It took a long time for EA App to contemplate the majority of my games on Origin, and recently, two of the final three missing finally appeared (Populous 1 and that Epic Giveaway version of SW Battlefront 2).

As of now, I'm just missing the original version of Bulletstorm, which I don't really know if it will make the cut, since it was a GfWL game, I think (I could be missremembering it).

Anyways, what about you guys? Are there many games still missing for you between the two apps?

(Easiest way to check is to add Origin to Galaxy and compare with EA App from there)

I am not sure and I do not care.

I will purchase all of Electronic Arts (EA's) video games when they start releasing more of them for sale on gog.com without needing Origin or their EA App.
All the 19 I had in Origin are there in the new app.

But the method of cross-checking with GOG Galaxy is unreliable. I have 19 games in the Origin/EA app, but Galaxy is showing only 17 of them. Dragon Age Origins and Dead Space 2 are missing for some reason.

That's strange. Galaxy shows my Dead Space 2 correctly and actually shows my two versions of DA Origins (the original registrered from a DVD copy I got, and the Ultimate version I bought later) separetedly, while EA App only shows DA Origins as a single entry with all DLC listed inside.

Maybe the integration broke and/or hasn't synched in a while?

I just re-did the integrations a while ago as the ones I did initially were lost because I had to reinstall Galaxy at some point. So no, even with a freshly added integration, those 2 games are not showing up.

Also, yes. Bulletstorm was a GFWL game, even the retail box, which I have. But I never had an issue with GFWL games, because they still allow you to play even with just a local, offline account.

EDIT:
Added screens of Galaxy and EA app.

Of the 80ish games or so in Origin, the only one I appear to be missing in the new app is the original Bulletstorm
Yes you are right, they took their sweet time to transfer everything from Origin. For example just recently I saw Syndicate (2012) appearing on my EA App library. But as of now everything is there. I also have two games from other stores. SW Battlefront II - giveaway from Epic Store - in this case it is marked as being from Epic and is managed by other launcher and Sea of Solitude - which I have it from Steam - also marked as managed by other store (Steam).
Offtopic: I got Sea of Solitude on Steam for only 3 euros, because EA is too dumb to put a similar sale for it on their own platform (best offer from them was 10 euros) so people cand get it there.
Also with this purchase I found out what means to launch a game from Steam linked to another platform - get on Steam to launch another launcher to launch the game. I'll never make this mistake again.
I think everything's there, but is that EA app even worse than the Origin client or what? Corporations never disappoint when it comes to making everything less convenient to the user with each "improvement". Apparently you can't even filter games in the library anymore, separate favorites from trash at least, and the necessity to scroll down was increased, too, as usual. More screen space wasted with huge ass tiles, less options to confuse the brainless users ...
I will never use any of their shitty clients.

Yeah, I've seen PC Gamer say that EA App is good, but I haven't seen where is the good part so far. I didn't think Origin was broken, just needed more effort put into it and its UI. Regular incremental changes could have taken it to a better place.

I quite like Steam and Galaxy's interfaces, though Galaxy has that initial-load-that-takes-a-while problem.

Epic's is functional, but God, it's slow as hell.

Ubisoft Connect is mostly insipid, but it can be a nuisance every so often.

Battle.net sorta works because it has so few games built into it, but is, otherwise, as insipid as Ubisoft Connect.

Rockstar's Launcher is just one of those things that has no reason for it to exist but the asinine corporate person who came up with it probably hasn't left the company yet, so nobody can pretend to "finally come into his senses" and get rid of it. I think Battle.net represents the best this launcher could eventually be, but the late Bethesda Launcher represents better what it should be (that is, dead).

And I just realized that I sound way angrier about the Rockstar Launcher than I actually am (I don't think I ever had a problem caused by it, frankly). To be honest, I could probably describe Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net and even Origin/EA App the exact same way.

If Microsoft's acquisition of Activision passes, I wonder what will happen to Battle.net. Are they going to keep it, or fade it into something else? Probably fade it into Steam, as they have been doing with everything else.

I get it. They're just doing what the others do as well, but somehow I'm even less tolerant of it. Maybe because they have even less games than the others? And because they don't even have halfway decent stores of their own? Even though I already use the other clients, I've refused to buy anything requiring Rockstar's or Bethesda's launcher so far. I'm not buying a game on Steam that needs a different client on top of it. One client per game is bad enough already.

Funny enough, Bulletstorm finally showed up today. It appears as a "N/A" game card with no image, but when I tell it to download, it shows that it is Bulletstorm correctly.

Maybe I'll install and see if it still works.

EDIT: Nope, download fails.

I essentially only have free ones, from back when they were giving a game a week a few years and from Epic and stuff, but all twelve are showing for me.
Last friday, November, 11th, I was able to download and install Bulletstorm.

Granted, with the GfWL nonsense (that doesn't work anymore) and all the hoops in PC Gaming Wiki to be able to play it, I didn't really manage to play the game, but it's there if I ever want to play it and don't feel like shelling a few extra quid on the Fullclip Edition whenever it's on promo.

It's still listed as N/A and without image, though.

Also, I actually noticed something else that is still missing from my collection on EA App, the Command and Conquer The Ultimate Collection Additional Content. Let's see if that ever shows up.
Nope.

I noticed this recently - Sims 2: Ultimate, Bulletstorm (G4WL), Darkspore, and some others I had from EA Origin are missing in EA Desktop App.

I'll have to go check again.
