Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

Now, in terms of what you need to have to obtain it...
Unfortunatelly in valve system the product in question ( soundtrack ) is marked as DLC and NOT as music.
What this means is that you DO need to own the base game ( as it is marked as DLC and not music ) to obtain it even if it is free.
I am going to confirm it a couple of hours after this goes live ( I cannot do that immediately as I am not going to be online when this giveaway goes live ) but I am fairly sure I am reading database correctly. So you do need the base game to get the thing from this giveaway.

Also something I meant to ask for a while. There seems to be a race condition between two concurrent threads. This one and https://www.gog.com/forum/general/massive_giveaways_blog and technically THIS thread was created first but it also seems more cluttered with unnecesary stuff more often than not ( I am not saying it is the case most of the time but it does happen and it is a thing ).
So my question is why cannot people just nuke whichever and just use one? I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but still there are two for the same thing. I know there are habbits and such, but still.
I am currently posting in both as I am sure there are people that only check either and not both.
But still it is a bit bizzare and sometimes I wonder in which one I should post first and such.
Again, I don't mean to be rude or anything. Just asking. So I would ask you guys to refrain for downvoting me just for asking politely. Peace.

There are users who still have this thread favorited for various reasons, like being used to it, being the first one, etc.
That said, I also prefer to just have one centralized thread.
It eliminates the need for double posting, and easier to track for readers. It'd be a 'Win‑Win' for both sides.
