<span class="bold">SEVEN: A Visual Novel</span> [Desura]
SEVEN is a psychological thriller where you awaken as a man that has lost all memories of himself and the life he once knew. There is only one way to regain these memories and it requires coming face to face with the seven deadly sins. This game was released under the Ravens Tale Studio name, but has since been changed to Sun Blossom Studios. This game was made in 30 days to be released for the RPG Maker Indie Game Contest in 2014.
A unique story featuring fully-voiced characters in a dark world, this game will take approximately 1-1.5 hours to play and finish. There's a few puzzles/riddles within the game, I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys visual novels.

<span class="bold">Demented</span> (Alpha) [Desura]
Enter the world of Demented, and feel the fear through its wicked world.
Go through Bennet's mind and either seek the truth, or run like a coward!
Gameplay: Demented is a survival horror game played from first-person perspective. Players have to explore the environment and solve puzzles to proceed through the game. The main character is Bennet Helms, who appears to be in the altered Art Deco Sanatorium.
All of the puzzles are logic and often the player will have to explore the environment for items, key cards, pipes, electronic wires, etc.
The main-character Bennet Helms cannot fight most of the critters that are after him, due to they are a lot stronger than him, or are just part of his imagination, but they have weaknesses which can be used by the player to his advantages.

Is the Free version 100 % clean and drm-free ? I heard there was commercial adwares in-game and stuffs like that. Besides, is the sound issue still unsolved ?
I would also add Twisted Insurrection to the list, a modd for Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun with a new alternative story : http://www.moddb.com/mods/twisted-insurrection

100% clean and DRM-Free.
<span class="bold">The Tell-Tale Heart</span>

Do not call me mad! What I did was not done out of malice or accident. Nay, every element of it was planned, every detail thought through. My methods were exact and executed to perfection. This horrible crime will never be discovered, as I left no clues to visit justice upon the act. Even the police, who now roam this house, are completely unaware of what lies beneath their feet. If only they don’t hear that beat, beat, beat... that ever-louder heartbeat.

<span class="bold">Outland 17: Void of Liberty</span>

Thanks for taking a look at our alpha demo! Hope you enjoy playing as much as we're enjoying working on it.

Outland 17: Void of Liberty is a sci-fi tactical RPG based around the events of the American Revolutionary War. Earth's population has swelled, leading to a strain on her resources and a wider gap between the wealthy and the impoverished. Stations are being built outside of the Earth’s orbit to explore more possible resources and to alleviate the burdening population.
<span class="bold">404Sight</span>  (Steam)

404Sight is a free game made in support of net neutrality. It’s a 3D playground runner influenced by parkour running with the addition of a special ping ability that reveals areas that can speed the player up or slow them down.

<span class="bold">The Blind Griffin</span>

The Blind Griffin is an otome game developed by Asphodel Quartet for NaNoRenO 2015. Our team is made up of artists Auro-Cyanide and Rins, writer/programmer Lorelei, and composer/musician Noyemi K. The game features three different character routes (Giovanni, Alexei, and Emilio) and has 10 different endings. The game is free with a pay-what-you-want system in place for people who'd like to leave a tip.

Trigger/content warnings for mentions and/or depictions of: death, execution, suicide, drug use/abuse, alcohol. We recommend that players be at least 13 years of age to play this game.
<span class="bold">Build It Up</span>

Build It Up is an intense puzzle game in which blocks, circles and triangles constantly jump from the ground. Now, all you have to do is build a tower with them by catching them out of the air. But be careful; if even one shape falls off your platform, you'll have to start all over again. Click fast, build faster, and whatever you do, don't look down!

Once you've mastered the normal mode, you can give our other challenging game modes a try. Can you make a tower with just circles? Can you handle the pressure when your platform is completely invisible? If these sound too tame for you, try taking a shot at our Extreme modes which take 3 challenges and combine them into one!

So, do you think you have what it takes to Build It Up?
<span class="bold">The Artifact of Gods: Resurrection</span>

The Artifact of Gods is a first-person dungeon puzzler game with stealth, crossbow combat and puzzle mechanics, placed in a dark fantasy setting.

The protagonist has been lured into a forgotten dungeon by an ancient spirit. The only way out is by retrieving the mysterious Artifact of Gods. Unfortunately the path is guarded by traps and undead patrols. Can you hide or do you fight back?

It's a linear, non-procedural, handcrafted experience.
The difficulty level adapts between hard and *cursing words* depending on your mood.
It's completely free to download. It's a gift from gamers for gamers!

Thanks :) am checking it out now. After playing it briefly a few things I noted the fact you have lives gives it a different throwback vibe. Intro felt like how I remember the original Thief being with teaching you to proceed carefully. I think it's worth the time to check it out hope that helps.

Gizmo's Freeware updated their list of Free PC games.

No doubt most or all have been posted here in the past but an extra list doesn't hurt, does it?

Impaler26: <span class="bold">Who Is The Killer? Episode I</span>

This original game is based on classical english detective rules. Everyday someone dies and you need to figure out who is the killer. Everybody has a common mystery story of the past. Everybody could have a motive to do this. And you have only seven days to stop the murderer.

It is not a generic adventure game — there is no happy end in this scenario, you can either win or lose the game (if everybody dies).

Speak with characters, investigate crime scenes, guess who lies, look at your dreams to find clues and try to arrest the killer before it’s too late.

You're right, but that's weird, I added it to my account at the time and I didn't go through the client...
Some older games that i enjoyed quite a bit, very linux friendly too:

Crossfire:
Google for crossfire real time, i cannot post links sorry.

Deliantra:
Google for deliantra, icpls.

Daimonin
Google for daimonin, icpls.

I played Crossfire and Deliantra quite a bit and i think they are still fun (they also come with server software if you prefer to change things).
