Oversight? Are they that bad or not DRM-Free?
I wasn't sure which ones were already mentioned, so I didn't pile them into this thread. But they certainly should be highlighted, so it's good you added the link.

Two that I picked up a while back from this site are the Mysteries of Peak Valley games (The Lost Sonata and The White Lady). They look like pretty good adventures for free titles.

Someone did post somewhere about the free games on FireFlower Games, but I don't recall who or in what thread - was that you? ;-)

So is Corruption of Champions (also free), and Seduce Me (not free, except possibly free of gameplay value).

Meanwhile, I'd like to nominate Mysteries of Peak Valley 1: The Lost Sonata for this year's "What The Hell Is The Cover Supposed To Be?" award. My guess is it's a sidewise photo of the legs of a teddy bear on a pier. In the rain.
Star Runner is free at the moment on Desura, though it might just be for the duration of the sale. The front page shows it discounted to free, but the game page just says "Free" instead of "100% Off". Same story with CaveExpress.

Also free currently on Desura is Sym, which is a beta release.

Perhaps an odd, out_of_this_world creature - that dark spot on what appears to be a limp is perhaps an eye on an oddly shaped head.

I just realised that the "pier" is probably piano keys (see the game's subtitle). So the teddy bear is perhaps an oddly coloured tarantula?

I think that even more than knowing what the cover is, I'd like to know the reasoning behind allowing this to be the cover in the first place. :)

I just found the dev's email, I might ask him about it. :-)

And searching for their contact info, I found out why the games looked somewhat familiar - they're made with the AGS engine and can be found here.

EDIT: typo

Heh, let me know if you hear anything back. :D

And that's cool, I've played around with AGS myself. Nice engine for making your own P&C titles.

One more adult/mature game for you! :p

Naked Fear

In this game you play a character who wakes naked in an alley with no memory of how she got there. All you have to do is guide her home (or at least, get her out of there relatively unscathed)

Input is standard for this style of game. RMouse to cycle through available modes, LMouse to activate. Also: Tab or I to see Inventory (or click on your character), and ESC to bring up the Main Menu for Save/Load and Quit functions. Both Music and Adult Mode can be toggled from the Inventory Screen

The game defaults to NON Adult Mode (where swearing is beeped, and most of the death animations are skipped). If you want to start the game in Adult Mode immediately, then click on the naked chick on the Load Screen

Be warned that even in Non Adult Mode the game is unsuitable for minors or those of a timid disposition, as it includes sex and drug references, nudity, and violence
