PookaMustard: Don't worry about it being ambitious and just use it whenever. We've had bigger games organized not too long ago, it just ebbs and flows.

joppo: You should also consider that the chosen theme (Anime girls) is something that not everyone likes. When ZFR made a few Harry Potter themed games or Lift's recent LucasArts adventures, unexpected players came from nowhere to join.
Yeah, while the theme is largely inconsequential to gameplay I think that it can still attract people who would otherwise be uninterested.

Indeed it might contribute to add a bit of fun to games. It is nice when regular mafia keywords and commands are replaced by themed alternatives. Like casting spells in those Harry Potter games. Also, the writing from the host and sometimes players might help games more entertaining, at least for those who like to read.

Then you have the players who will refuse to play along and will treat every game as if it was non-themed. Sounds awfully boring but hey, maybe non themed games should be started to see if people really do like that.

Also, about the theme of anime girls: not my thing but, in general, with less common or even bizarre settings, there might be a niche that would be spot on for some.

Don't worry. Whatever you do will be utterly ingenious! ;-)
I like how long this takes to set up. If the game were to start in January, I could be available to help make the game worse by my participation in it.
Start this instant!

Too late already.
Too late indeed. I live in different timezone and it's already January here.
