Thanks!
everything is up on archive.org, but lines 55-124 are "HTTP" instead of "HTTPS"
that is why they are in red right now.

I can't fix them this Morning. I just can't.
games 20 & 22 are the only ones without ANY links as of right now.

ALL LINKS NEED TO BE DOUBLE-CHECKED, PLEASE!

The Link on 191 (in orange) should resolve itself soonish

At some point I want to add the Names of the Games, but that can be done later

PookaMustard: Thanks as well for keeping the list in check! Yes, the missing archive.ph links are very much needed, but most importantly a quick revision just to make sure I didn't do any rookie mistakes, or we have dupes, etc. I'd really hate it if a game has a link but instead I paste the wrong link and it's lost forever, so many thanks if you can do that in time.

[...]
First off, I've heard back from Ixamyakxima about game #22; her's going to check, and post here whatever his findings are.

I've done all the archive.ph links, including game #74.

I've gone through games #1-20, and found a sorts of observer thread for game #16 that's not on the list (link's at the end of post #822). I've saved all the possible forms of it I could, and I'll try to attach a file here containing them, as well as the above mentioned links, so you can add them all to the spreadsheet (not sure if it'll work; if not I'll figure something out).
I'll continue tomorrow, but I don't think I can finish them all, not even sure how many I'll manage to do -- the QT threads names don't always distinctively contain the game number, so checking the game-threads is also needed to cross-reference and double-check which makes the process quite a bit more time consuming.
It'd be great if somebody else could do the same starting from the end, so we meet somewhere in the middle of the remaining 55-60 games?

Three things regarding the backups on the spreadsheet:

(I) The Archived Copy Link(s) 1, don't have distinct names, so when wanting to save them locally, it's going to become a mess. Maybe you could devote some time, later on, to rename them properly?

(II) Regarding the above again, it'd be a lot easier if you granted access to the main folder instead of each thread, so one can download it in one go; perhaps revisit this?

(III) I've tried to access a few of the Archive.org Wayback Machine Links, and I alwasy get a message "The Wayback Machine has not archived that URL" -- what am I doing wrong?

Let's see if I can attach the file I mentioned earlier; if it works, save it, and rename the extension from jpg to zip.

EDIT: For some reason, I can't attach anything, so check your PMs.

Vitek: Soooo... anyone read something interesting lately? Something we could occupy ourself discussing in next 5 days while waiting?
The White Woman by Wilkie Collins is quite interesting. If you like Victorian literature. I actually also like Jane Austen. She has a nice, sharp penned way of making fun of her contemporary gentry.

Other than that I read Watership Down to the kids. Very nice and at times exciting book too. Another very good children's book, that's interesting for adults too, is Anne of Green Gables.

Or if you like science fiction, there are the classics, which you probably know already. If you don't know any one from the following list, read it: Neuromancer, Snow Crash, Ender's Game, Red Mars (and sequels), and basically anything by Asimov.

Thats great about game 16!

Thank you so so much for the archive.ph links!

I intend to try and help with checking the remaining games. No promises, but I do intend to try! I probably can't do it before Monday my time

Would you please be so kind as to tell me which archive.org links fail?
The links failing usually only ever happens to me in the first 10 or 15 minutes after I make the backup, and I only turned the background white or grey after the link worked for me.
That has me worried and befuddled.

I have checked (via thread titles etc) the links to both archive.ph/archive.org and marked them as "Yes" where applicable, starting from the bottom.

I realize now this does not necessarily mean these are the only chats for these games, just that the ones we have so far work.

I have not checked the dropboxes

flubbucket: Wifey says I have no opinion.
Are you aware of any QT links for games 20 or 22?

Lifthrasil: Neuromancer, Snow Crash, Ender's Game, Red Mars (and sequels), and basically anything by Asimov.
I really wanted to like Neuromancer. It seems like something that's right up my alley but for some reason it didn't work for me. I don't know if it was the translation but it was just hard to read for me. I haven't even tried the other two. Ender was pretty decent. I've also read the Speaker sequels and they were also very nice. If you haven't read "The stars, my destination" I'd strongly recommend it, it has a couple of annoying sequences but overall it's magnificent sci-fi literature.

I'm glad you caught it. Checking for links in the older games is like searching for a needle in a haystack. I would gladly devote time for it, but I'm just happy I even managed to get the spreadsheet up and running what's with all the searching for links in threads. I can't express how much I admire your efforts to find these odd links before they're gone.

This should be easier on us with a few hands on deck. Microfish has gotten involved with some of the efforts so that helps a bit. Also if there's anything else I noticed, it's that later games are better catalogued than the early ones.

These two points are related. Thankfully point I and point II are already addressed: each game has its own folder with its own threads inside. What's left is to just link these folders straight up.

That's awesome. I hope the fact it's very smol is intended for dramatic effect.

It was the "Christmas-y" edit of this: Sadness/SadKitty
That originally was designed as a discord emote, which is why the size is small :(

PookaMustard: ~ ping ~
Just so we're all on the same page here (and that I understood what you asked in your post #7598) -- what I'm currently doing is:
(i) check if the QT links in column C are the correct ones for each game;
(ii) check if there were more/other QT threads that haven't made it into said column yet.

I have not checked/confirmed if any and all backup links are the correct ones for each game (I've only randomly checked a few to see if/how they work). For now, I assume that if the main QT links are correct, the rest were created based on them and hence are correct as well. I'll try to go back and do a check after I'm done with all games, but things would progress a lot faster if a couple of people could lend a hand (per columns (F, G and I) or all columns for x number of games?).

Now, I've gone through games up to #50 (included), and have the following (I'll shortly PM you about the corresponding file):
1. Game #25 had two mafia factions, so the list is missing the QT thread to the 2nd mafia-chat (post #2911); I've got it all sorted & everything's in the file, only the archive.org link still needed.

2. Game #43 had a SK who also had a QT thread; that's also sorted & in the file, and only archive.org link still missing.

3. In game #26, Sage103082 was a lone survivor with powers. There's no public QT, but it wouldn't hurt to check with the mod (Lifthrasil) if it was all done via PMs.

4. In game #28 flubbucket was an Arsonist; same as above, so check with mod (Vitek).

5. In game #29 Lifthrasil was a NEUTRAL VIGILANTE, essentially a limited-shot SK; same as above, so check with mod (yogsloth).

-- Mods should relatively easily check if they have extra threads on their QT walls --

6. Game #44 was hosted on MU, so logically it should have a scumchat thread on that site; perhaps ask yogsloth to check for completion's sake?

By my count, there are still another 30 games left to be checked for (i) and (ii). I'll try to get through them by tomorrow evening as I won't have much time afterwards (hence why it'd be swell if others could help with the rest).

I had checked the ones for the first 2-3 games. However -- I don't know what's up with those links, as today they work just fine. Not only that, but trying a couple of the red coloured ones, they also resolve fine and automatically to https.

Great, that ties in with what I said above in my "I have not checked/confirmed" paragraph. Just one question, to make sure I follow you -- are you also checking if they correspond to the QT links in column C/D, or only if they work?
