It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Proboards are ok for this.

Will miss QT. I'll work on backing up all games during November.
Damn, always annoying when something you've been using for so long goes away. I'll try to backup at least the couple of games I hosted. Is there any agreed way on what tools to use for this and where to store the backups?

I'd suggest organizing the links in a Google Sheets and then using a Google Drive folder to upload what we can grab, as an initial stage. After we've grabbed everything, we can then figure out where to go from there without having a clock ticking above our heads.

I've suddenly felt some sort of writing block, and also not interested in abusing my PS3 today. Perfect opportunity to abuse Google Sheets with a list of QT links.

Vitek: ...
Do you still have the scumchat for Game #7? Or did scum not have a chat at all?
(You were the mod for that game)

Should find the scumchat among:
- Robbeasy
- QuadrAlien

Do you also still have the scumchat for game #8? This one has scum but the only chat I saw was observer.
Should find the scumchat among:
- vitek
- xyem
- Rodazju

The first ten games are done.

21 games done
30 games in two hours. I say that's a great feat, I expected to sludge through a bit.

Of course the earliest games are the trickiest:
- I don't think any links to threads for Game #2 are preserved because Damuna deleted her account, and she was the Admin. In fact the game makes little sense without her posts now.
- Game #6 fell apart but no scumchat was posted. Was it a single-scum game? I think catte was a serial killer.
- #7 and #8 are as addressed above. Thankfully Vitek and JoeSapphire are still active today. (Also I appreciate the fact some of you stuck around THIS long). #11 is also a Vitek thing. Will address those odd ones in another post.

Excellent job.

I've found the best way of saving those is to simply save as an html file (with the folder for images). Just do File - Save As and then zip everything.

Once we have the full list we can save everything this way, and also provide links with webarchive.

Thanks. I'm trying as hard as I can.

I think the best way to save the links is:

1. Scroll down and click Print
2. Click the top radioboxes then Print
3. From a Chromium based browser (I use Edge), find the Print menu and then Save to PDF

Unless Edge is sucky in saving HTMLs, I couldn't keep the formatting or images after disconnecting. Saving to PDF still loses a lot of stuff but at least keeps everything in a format that makes sense, with tables and stuff.

But at the pace I'm going, we'll have plenty of time to worry about how to best save the threads.

37 games now.
Here is how Pale Moon saves. I can see everything formatted perfectly on mine.

(You need to download and unzip to view; viewing in Dropbox messes things up.)

This works great without an internet connection, actually (even on Edge). Hopefully all Firefox variants are the same, even if they're based off the latest versions.

BTW, Leoric has offered to help with the archival, so we can do things faster now.

#45 + odd games

And so are you! Added the links to the spreadsheet.

I know I had nothing to do with that game, but still, thanks for the links. I admire the fact we now have them several years later, instead of losing them to time.

(Also gotta thank GOG for not breaking the PM system to lose these threads forever. Or QuickTopic keeping track of your created threads?)
