drealmer7: I'm soooooo sorry sage for being dumb

I was so much looking forward to being scum with you

we would have destroyed them all!!!!!!

way to go cristi!!!

thanks very much lift for hosting! good stuff!!!
Its all good accidents happen and I didnt get killed right off the bat and end the game way early so it worked out. Woukd have been a blast to have you able to help. But there will be other times. Though I am not sure if ill play the next game or take a game off. All depends on who is hosting i guess lol
Whatever, Just know I have the moral high ground here. I found scum super early d2 and was ignored. I corrected a mistake when doing so as scum was stupid. I guess lying about things is not as taboo as drealmerz said it was if I get scumread for honesty.
yeh apparently I had some misconceptions

ppl lie around here as town more than I initially thought, I don't like it

but it's still way less than MS

trentonlf: Did you make your opening post the exact same as the last Stalker game as a clue you were town or just for grins and giggles?
avatar
Bookwyrm627: Grins and giggles. Judging from some of the responses, multiple people didn't notice. I'm glad to see at least a few did though!
The problem Bookwyrm, is that Bookwyrm dropping hints he is town is as worthless as Bookwyrm claiming town. Scum you could lay those same "hints" and still be scum. You act as if that somehow should have proven your alignment...that isn't how the game works.

As it was, Sage claimed a false role day 1 which was risky, but made her less scummy than a lot of players. I looked at her hard with Trent's post claiming his thoughts of an all girl team and found nothing off. Sage was, by far, the all-star of this game. Cristi won because someone threw her a town Vig shot...

The game ended earlier because of the Vig shot. It's neither here nor there what would have happened had we gone to another day. I like my chances. Let's say there is no vig shot...

Sage indicated she was hoping to get me to vote Gamma if another day occurred. Gamma was gunning for Sage. I'd take those odds.
Sage and cristi both had a tough game as they both basically played solo the whole time and trying to say cristi only won because she got a vig shot is wrong. cristi won because she played an excellent game. Sage played an excellent game too and deserved to win if luck had favored her. So instead of pointing out how "bad" people played (and I mean everyone) we should be congratulating both cristi and Sage for how well they did because it's not an easy feat to get to then end with no teammates.

@RW if you had really went back and paid attention to Sage you would have seen that she came out way too hard and fast and tried to appear as townie as possible by planting doubts of other people so the attention was not on her. It seems she fooled most everyone (and that is a tough feat with the players we have) and the ones she didn't were either killed or ignored. I think one player even killed himself after calling her the dumbest town player ever...
I am glad I caught Sage though. Boosts my ego knowing my insane scumhunting skills work here too. And I would have eliminated the mafia if you listened to me!
TBH Christi seems like a Serial killer to me which is way OP in 9 players imo.
I probably would have tracked Sage and given my power to RW if I'd been aware of the fact I could get a role HALFWAY THROUGH THE GAME!

Also I'm still majorly infuriated at you guys thinking "hey this guy just claimed PR after claiming vanilla" "OH HES CONFSCUM HURR DURR HERP DERP". Why would I do that? It's fucking stupid to put something that draws attention to yourself especially on that level.
I just can't handle how horrendously simpleminded you are.
I guarantee I'm not going to sit back next game. I'm taking control ASAP. Your supreme braindeadness has had that benefit at least.
And I'm putting the "dropped actions aren't a reliable scumtell" thing in my town help guide on Mafiascum. The fact I've seen Town make that mistake twice in such quick succession means it needs addressing.

I like this statement and second it. Both cristi and Sage did fantastic, too bad drealmer went in such a way, I wonder how things would have worked out if he didn't. The Town players didn't play the greatest town game ever but that doesn't automatically mean it was the worst, either.

All in all, fun game to watch. The only thing I wish I saw more of is gentlemanly behavior and better sportsmanship.

Thanks, Lift, for hosting,

RWarehall: Sage, you are so stupid. Dumbest town players ever!
avatar
Sage103082: Awe thanks RW I really felt the love here. It might have been a bad town play but not that stupid as a scum play.

Thank you Lift for hosting a great game!!
Yep. Way to make an accidental compliment! :-D

drealmer7: ppl lie around here as town more than I initially thought, I don't like it
I don't. And I always fight to get people to lynch all liars!

But the crowning moment in this game was when Bookwyrm announced he would be giving the Vig shot to cristi. Confirmation that cristi did an awesome job appearing townier that all the actual townies! (I think, as a player, I wouldn't have suspected her either)
avatar
Bookwyrm627: Kudos to Trent for successfully guessing two out of the three scum. Shame you were probably killed for your trouble.
avatar
Sage103082: If I would have taken out crisit and it came back with me you and gamma would have have voted to lynch me or gamma? Im just wondering how it might have worked out. I am not at all unhappy with out it ended. I tried hard and got almost there and crisit played neutral great.
I'm really not sure how things would have played out. After RW's flip, I figured that either you or Crisiti were probably the last scum and would kill the other one (with me and Gamma both being myslynch fodder). I'd been mulling over whether to say "screw it, let's make sure possible scum!gamma doesn't get an undeserved win", or whether to try harder to control my spite and actually think it through. Hard to say which way I'd have finally lept; would have come down to the final day's play.

Return question for you: if I had actively named crisit as my vig shot recipient, would you have gone ahead and shot her?

I can't speak for the others, but I didn't pay much attention to you because your behavior indicted that, at best, you didn't really care about the game and weren't trying to help. You didn't build your cases with evidence from much of anything, and looked to me like you were making assumptions on alignments because "scum would never do that".

Sure, maybe you weren't lying about somehow forgetting to use your town PR. But then again, what was to indicate you weren't making some sort of play to be read as town by claiming to do something foolish? Maybe it is pot/kettle, coming from me, but there wasn't a whole lot of way to read your Day 2 claims as anything but "I don't' have a role". Even knowing the truth, I still have to squint to see anything but a vanilla claim.

Are we having two different conversations here? I specifically said "grins and giggles", not "clue I'm town".

I had a ninja power that was my one saving grace being alone. I was untrackable.

And thank you all! I had so much fun with this game and cristi played an awesome game and so deserves the win. And I think everyone players a great game.

*poke* Hey! I answered your question, so your turn to answer mine! If I'd named Cristi as the role recipient, do you think you would have shot her instead of me?

But you could still have been discovered by the Gunsmith ... if you hadn't killed him in Night 1!

*cough... cough*

She was, poor trentonlf just didn't get a chance to reveal it.

Thanks Lifthrasil for running this setup again, it was fun to follow, though I'd have preferred if people were more active (following RWarehall's MU Championship game made the contrast even bigger).

Was the scum ninja ability indefinite? I'm not sure how I feel about it if so, it renders the Tracker/Watcher useless/pointless, more so if the Gunsmith is out of the pool early on.

GG Sage103082 and cristigale, you both did a good job flying solo and letting town tear themselves apart. Congrats to cristigale for achieving a third-party victory.

GammaEmerald: [...] Drealmerz7 was wrong about this site. It's not a utopia, it's a train wreck!
I don't understand your definitions of "utopia" and "train wreck", care to share it?

You are probably not going to like this, but you saw how thing turns out for you in your first game here due to your play. Didn't that get you thinking a bit?

I'm sorry to break it to you, but your play and way of arguing didn't exactly help you not to be ignored

Out of curiosity, how old are you? You don't need to state your exact age, saying if you're in your early/mid/late teens/20s/30s/etc. will do fine.
