Doesn't make sense to lynch Trent today; again, there's no reason for him to risk the game with an Alarmist claim (50% chance of failure). No one was asking him to claim IIRC and there was no reason he'd be expected to claim. I can see him outing early as an Alarmist because he would feel like he would be lynched immediately and would rather do that then get lynched D1; claiming early as CL doesn't really make sense unless you have a good idea that you won't get counterclaimed shortly after.

I also think all of the people who say Trent MUST BE LYNCHED tomorrow are silly; he's not a guaranteed cult target and he's valuable if left untouched by cult. I also think that if he was scum and thought that no lynching was a horrible.idea, then he wouldn't bring it up; there's no reason to bring attention to himself unless he thinks he's better than everyone else.

I know very well that you are a veteran player and quite smart when it comes to this game. However, your play doesn't make much sense to me. Neither does the no-lynch option. Memory might not serve me right here, and quite frankly I've been out of the game for a while, but I don't recall you ever claiming under such little pressure before.

This might be my illusion though since the low number of players makes each vote more valuable in terms of power.

Anyway, give me a chance here and help me out with understanding this, cause I can't seem to figure this shit out.

Let's say your claim is true and you're the alarmist.

Now, if we go for no lynch, we're thinking "Hmmmmm, that dumb CL must really think we're bad at this and go and risk lynching one of us today on so little information. Why would we do that? Let's wait until tomorrow until we talk some more and we'll figure things out! We have two lynches anyway. He can't hide!"

Now, I see a handful of issues with this plan. Let me elaborate.

The setup is semi-open. There might or might not be any other PR out there. No-lynching doesn't actually give us any information by itself. It just allows the CL to recruit someone for the next day.

Now, let me go over the best and worst case scenarios to the above mentioned point. Worst case scenario, CL doesn't recruit you, it manages to recruit someone else. We are down two people, of which neither one is you. Guess who's going to be a policy lynch tomorrow?

Best case scenario, you get recruited, we lynch you and we're down to one CL, but still down a power role.

Neither the no lynch, nor the claim make much sense to me. The funny thing is, I'd rather buy your claim than risk losing a PR. At least for now.

Few and far in between. I barely have a read on her. She seems to have been kind of cornered into sharing something. The vote she placed seems to have been, given the context, greatly due to the questioning she was subject to, which begs the question of why did it not come before being questioned? Sounds like responding when prompted. Reacting to pressure, more than acting. Playing along. But then again, every vote is worth more when there are fewer. So it might be just my imagination.

That's understandable. It's not an easy task with only a couple of posts of substance. That's why I'd love to see some more from her. And you, as well. Also drealmer.

I think that it's weird that before the game she seemed so excited to get back into mafia and figure things out again and now suddenly the only effort she's put forward doesn't even scratch the surface - she seemed like someone who didn't really have a problem with posting and so I don't really understand why all of that excitement just evaporated unless she is nervous and struggling to fake content as a CL.

I think trent should be watched. He revealed who he claims to be when 4 votes ( 50% the votes) were on him. no one has counter claimed. I do not agree with a no lynch. I think we lynch him second.

Sage, I don't want you lynched right now; we have plenty of time left and I'm just more interested in hearing you taking some harder stances. The more townies explain today, not only will the CL be easier to root out, but any possible recruits will have a harder time of faking tomorrow. I am a bit pressed for time but will attempt to practice what I preach and will see if I can't bring up some stuff for you to respond to.

I'm still waiting for a reply from trent. Everyone else I believe has shared their impressions on the matter, so I have enough from the rest for now. I wish trent didn't just bail on us. I feel like some of you have used words in an inappropriate way.
