Ah cool, was wondering if it was John wick 2 or silence. Could only see one though so wanted to know if it was either of those.

RWarehall: Overall though, it was a solid game all around. No stellar slips. From observing (on my own, don't know about any observer thread), I couldn't really clear anyone which is how it should be. It was as close as can be.

As to Cult games, I think small games like this is the only way to keep it balanced and less swingy. Seems a pretty fair setup overall.
Agreed. I liked the game as a whole and even though I'm not the biggest cult games fan (still not one) I liked this one.

Thanks, JMich, Wyrm and bler!
incredible game

really bummed I got MKed, of course

I was just giving a hijack a pass - that is not cool, never again

John Wick 2 is one I will be seeing soon, it looks awesome.
I'm back, just checking in before bed. Sorry to have helped kill Nacho and lose the game. But Nacho, I was quite convinced that you are scum. So very probably I would have voted you with more time and talking too.

Very well played by RW and Hunter! Especially Hunter. Just the right amount of scumminess and buddying up to a partially absent player to draw him into the fall.

But to Nacho: why were you so vocal defending Hunter?

And to trent: yes, I'm with you! Let's lynch all lurkers in the future! This game was seriously plagued by lurkiness.
And that's what happens when you go for your weekly D&D game. The game ends.

Quick final flavor:

The rebels somehow managed to take control of the not-so-small council, and managed to dethrone Rodrik Targaryen, the rightful king, thus replacing a horrible human person with another. The new King, Podric Stark then quickly proceeded with executing all remaining members of the not-so-small council, stating that they had betrayed their oath to one king, so what prevented them from betraying another? He then gave the not-so-small council seats to some actual rabbits, which didn't help with the realm prosperity one bit.
It was truly a case of "The Horrible Human Person is dead, Long Live the Horrible Human Person".

Nachomamma8: i was town
i really wish lift gave me the opportunity to talk today.

dedoporno: I doubt that would have changed anything. There was no way you were going to talk yourself out of a lynch, pretty sure about that. I actually thought we needed to talk about the cultist before doing the first lynch but, oh well.
It was going to be Trent as the recruit in 9 worlds out of 10, so I think someone needed to press Trent for reads before doing anything else.

The main reason I didn't think it was Hijack is that I would've thought from prior experience that he'd be punchier up against the wall. Surprised he bailed rather than just going for the gusto, but so be it.

The vote in the very first post didn't leave too much room for that, but yes, I did hope to have some more discussion to try and point out the cultist.

One has to be around and pay some attention to do that. HijacK's low profile felt very Deep Smelly Dungeon-y which was one of the reasons I suspected him early on but at some point it just looked like he didn't give a shit about the game which I didn't expect from him as scum, especially when we were doing so bad. That plus Hunter's performance was enough for me to scratch down any potential relation between the two of them.

If this is going to be the trend I'm up for a lot more games with Hunter and a lot less with HijacK.

I agree, Hunter is an excellent player who has a knack for the game. Having a game full of people participating for sure makes the game much better.

Yeah, RW rides me for making meta calls, but that was along the lines of what I was thinking as well.

This version of Hijack felt more like the absentee dayvig he was in the stripper game, or a bit less so the absentee herbalist (aside from the lack of role teasing) in the ghost game.

Though I should add I really didn't read D1 at all - just going off his flurry of final posts before he faded out completely.

And, contrary to rumor, they can actually be quite balanced. I didn't have the feeling that town was at an unfair disadvantage. It was plagued by player absence, but that's not the fault of the setting. I was quite close and could have swung both ways, so the win is actually due to brilliant play by Hunter, pulling the lynch away from HijacK/RWare, (and a mistake by me) not due to some imbalance in the mechanics.
Fun game to follow, thanks to JMich for hosting and to those that played.

Wish people had put some pressure on RWarehall instead of being content with his "going by memory" posting.

Hunter65536 made a great scum play, chapeau!
