As you probably know, alas, some GOG items cannot be bought in some countries (e.g. in Germany, Australia, Japan, Korea).

A side effect of this is that these items also cannot be added to your wishlist if you live in these countries. Which means others cannot know that you want them and cannot gift them to you or nominate you for them on The Community Giveaway, for example. Which is kind of a pity, isn't it?

Well, I can't do anything about GOG, but I can make it possible for you to list them as wishlisted on MaGog, which is where anyhow many people look when they want to know who has wishlisted a specific game.

This is done through a new feature which I call "Wishlist Extensions".

What do you need to do in order to have games which you want but cannot buy appear as wishlisted on MaGog:
1) You need to be listed in The Directory of Public Wishlists, if you're not already there
2) You need to create a Wishlist Extension GOG mix and add to it any such games that you would like to be considered as part of your wishlist
3) You can give your GOG mix any name you want,
4) Post your username and a the URL of your GOG mix (copy it from the address box in your browser) in this thread, using the following format:
first line: your username
second line: the URL of your GOG mix
third line: empty
beyond that: anything you wish

See post #5 for an example of both a post and a Wishlist Extension GOG mix.

You can edit your Wishlist Extension GOG mix as often as you wish, just like your GOG wishlist. MaGog will scan both every six hours. Unlike your GOG wishlist, if you are gifted (or buy) a game on your Wishlist Extension GOG mix, you need to delete it manually. Please remember to do so.

The feature is already alive, so feel free to prepare your GOG mix and post here.

Thank you, Klumpen0815, for drawing my attention to this GOG deficiency.

FAQ
===
1) Can I use this even if I do not live in Germany or Australia? Yes, if you wish.
2) Can I also add games that are not banned in my country to the GOG mix? Yes, if you wish.
3) Can I have the same game on both my GOG wishlist and my Wishlist Extension GOG mix? No, please do not.
4) Can I add some text to the GOG mix entries? Yes, but MaGog will ignore it (unless it's very funny).
5) Can I use this even if I do not want to be listed in The Directory of Public Wishlists? At the moment, no, but email me and we'll see what we can do about it.
6) Can I add movies to my GOG mix? No, please do not.
7) Does the order of games in the GOG mix matter? No.

This is an artificial example. I already own these games.

Here are a couple questions I thought of:
1. Can I add a game that is not currently for sale to a Wishlist Extention? (This includes things like Kickstarter-only editions of games and games that have been removed from sale)
2. Can I add something like a Piñata to a Wishlist Extention?

No and no.
GOG allows GOG mixes to include only items from the current GOG catalogue.
Thanks, you´re really pushing things forward!

I tried a few minutes ago and both links yielded a gogbear.
I tried just now and both links were fine.
Might be a GOG server issue.

I'll let you know if MaGog has any trouble reading it.
Anyhow, I decided to change the requirement to use a specific name and allow people to call their mix whatever they want. Just in case.

Oddly enough, it works now, at least for me.
