darthspudius: I don't see why not, it'll help attract simple minded 14 yr olds to GOG. They have to cover all ages.
maybe....
but maybe GOG already has some young members, we will never know for sure.
Anyways i always put my real DOB (date of birth) if needed or asked and my gender (male or female)
other stuff is not relevant cause using the M / F and age you can 'guess' what kind of audience you have and what kind of games are likely to be bought.
I thought the game was a bit crap personally.

ET3D: Flappy Bird is so 2014. We need Crossy Road!

i found an old pczone (dutch version) magazine from juli 2001 --> FL 16.95 or EUR 7.69 back then
a very old magazine , almost 14 years old and the state is quite good , abit folded but its okay

titel is dutch:

DE BESTE 199 GAMES [2001 -2003]

They claimed it would show the best 199 games to come in 2001 till 2003
its quite funny to read it again

games coverd in short:

stronghold
O.R.B
mechcommander 2
zulu war
rails across america
the nations
starttrek armada 2
nexagon the pit
startrek deep space nine dominion wars

anno 1503: setting out for a new world
empire earth
gangsters 2
magelords
epilogue
escape from alcatraz
myth 3 the wolf age
age of mythology
galactiv civs.
schizm mysterious journey
venusian
battle realms
commandos2
worldwar 3
maelstrom
chaser
unreal 2
new world order
aquanox
judge dredd vs judge death
call of cthulu : dark corners of the earth

hidden and dangerous 2
return to castle wolfenstein
MOH (medal of honour) allied assault
torn
starwars galaxies
freedom force
fatherdale : the guardians of asgard

divine divinity

and here it comes this one looks like pillars to me :D

pool of radiance: ruins of myth drannor
Stormfront Studios
Ubisoft / ubisoft
release oct 2001

they claimed ( the reviewer) that tables could be pushed agains doors, turned down to protect themselves and much more interactivity....

BUT i saw a video on youtube and the graphics of Pillars look crisper, tighter, and less blurry/pixrl like
thet the old stuff Pool of Radiance used but the again that was 2001 this is done 13 years later so theres better techniques now.

on with some more games:

Death Dealer

diablo2 :LOD (good game)

homm 4

harbinger
and may more (up to 199 previews thas a lot to put all here)

There are seriously good old games still out there

i am not joking , i saw the game, beside i am serious 99.9% of the time especially when talking about a game.
i became 50 in 2014 end year so i been around long and started with the atari 2600
c64, amiga500 lateron HD, then 1st pc at 100 mhz 8 mb ram and small HD tilll the quad core 2.67 with nvidea GTS250 i have now, win7 64bits HP 8 gb ram

So most of the game today are remakes or spinnofs of classic games, almost anything has been done so its hard to create a 100% original idea/game

I played any kind of games withe the exception of:

FPS (motion sickness) games
game that involves walking in 3d through a 3d renderd landscapes whic allows the eprson to rotate the entire environs 360 degrees .

or to many flashing lights (photo sensitivity)

so i have covered at last 89% maybe more.
Nowadays i own 300 to 500 casual games on retail cd

JDelekto: OK, to set the record straight, I like jump scares in a game... not those which make me run away screaming like a schoolgirl but actually put a "chill" down my spine. (Sometimes jump scares do that though.)

Imagine when you're home alone and you hear a noise at the front door, you are not sure whether or not you locked the door last time you went out. As you get closer to the door and go to lock it, the handle starts to turn.

I've had that happen to me once and when I saw the handle turn, it sent a shock down my spine. It turned out that it was our cat who actually grabbed onto the door handle with her paws in an effort to open the door.

Now those are the types of games I'd like to see!

Cyraxpt: And my point continues, there are better games, FNAF doesn't even have much gameplay, you're just sitting on chair looking at monitors and waiting for the... "things" to appear and you have to control the energy levels. It's simplistic and dumb.
Why play that when there is games like Alien Isolation, Silent Hill 2, Resident Evil Remake, Outlast, Amnesia, Condemned, Among the Sleep, etc, you can argue the price (and the drm) but you can buy them during sales and it was about bringing the FNAF to gog therefore it would be better if it was one of the others games that i mentioned coming here.

And while we are sharing scary stories, i was watching that White Noise movie (kind of crappy, i know) and the MOTHERFFUCAJSKLDHASJDSHA... breath in, breath out... ahem... the painting on my living room feel of the wall and made a really loud noise, i mean, by itself it would make anyone jump but watching a scary movie while that happened, dammit!

Edit: Just checked and before someone says it, gog already has Outlast, Amnesia and Among the Sleep.
White Noise is a very good movie, even more so if it had a better ending.

marsrunner: Guess I'm one of the few here who likes them. Oh well, I'm used to being the odd-man out. Also, not 14 or simple minded. 43 and crotchety, thanks. :-)
I really don't understand the crap these games get. They are pretty good games, especially when you consider the price and the fact that its developed by one person. The back stories are fairly deep, and there are quite a lot of details embedded in them. I find them to be somewhat scary, but mostly nerve-wracking. The jumpscares are punishment for doing it wrong. If you do it right you won't get one. For me, the scary comes from the anticipation of the jumpscares, the stress of trying to make them not happen.
That being said, they aren't THAT scary. They aren't "great" games. Probably 6 out of 10 on average. But again, at $6, $8 and $8 I don't expect the same things I do for $60, $40 or even $20. They aren't classics. They are decent games.
And yes, the fandom is quite obnoxious. But I just try to ignore that and enjoy the games for what they are.
I also can't blame the guy for milking the franchise a little. He put out three games of roughly the same quality and for a fair price. I do think now is a good time to stop though.
Anywho, enjoyed them, but they aren't in my top 100 games list or anything, and Silent Hill 2 is certainly in no danger of being overthrown.
This seems to be a knee jerk reaction to the popularity this game received.Once you read what biggest detractors have to say about FNaF very few of them are able to conjure up a coherent argument in regards to gameplay or presentation.

Elmofongo: The fandom exist becaue these characters are increadibly recognizable. Who remembers any monster from Silent Hill thats not Pyramid Head? There all just lumps of brown and red meat.

And poor Resident Evil being passed off as just another Zombie game completely ignoring the other unique monsters.

Hell this franchise overshadowed the overratedness of Amnesia the Dark Descent. And I thought that game was overrated.
Yeah, but people also remember Wesker for what a wonderful ham he is. Actually, its the characters of Resident Evil that makes up the game.

Its gonna be the most cheapest disposible trash to be relased to make a quick buck while this game's hype is still here and to be released in October for Halloween.
