korell: It is a matter of principle. Those files shouldn't be there, and they could be activated by other SecuROM enabled software, though on their own they are inert. They don't get removed with the uninstallation of the game, which is bad. And GOG said they were working on a workaround for this, which we are still waiting for.
paladin181: They are often working on a workaround or a solution for problems, promised by one or another blue. But most of them never come to fruition. Often it's a quick fix that could EASILY be solved, but no one bothers to do it. Maybe the publisher or dev refuses to do it. Don't know, but in some cases it's problems like the avatars on the forums or such that are promised fixes that never come. @mistermubmles: What is your contribution to the solution of this problem?
