korell: It is a matter of principle. Those files shouldn't be there, and they could be activated by other SecuROM enabled software, though on their own they are inert. They don't get removed with the uninstallation of the game, which is bad. And GOG said they were working on a workaround for this, which we are still waiting for.

paladin181: They are often working on a workaround or a solution for problems, promised by one or another blue. But most of them never come to fruition. Often it's a quick fix that could EASILY be solved, but no one bothers to do it. Maybe the publisher or dev refuses to do it. Don't know, but in some cases it's problems like the avatars on the forums or such that are promised fixes that never come.
That may be the case, but I will bring up this case until it is solved or they ban me frmo GOG. As korell said, it is a matter of principle.

@mistermubmles: What is your contribution to the solution of this problem?

I agree. I actually quoted the wrong post there. Meant to quote Mistermumbles.
This is going strongly towards the 2 year mark and the promised solution is nowhere to be seen. That is how GOG treats its customers. "Not a single fuck was given"

Two years gone and ... nothing done. Great work GOG.

Going strong towards 3 years and nothing as been done as promised. That's the spirit.
Never knew about this issue.

Someone should make a GOGmix of games containing DRM files. Or is there already one?
At this point they might as well give up and simply add a warning in the game's page. It's not like they're really developing a fix to the issue, for years.
Better than to keep lying to users.

do not fear! gog soon removes the remaining securom data, right after they stuffed the installers with galaxy drm crap

AFAIK, not yet. But to be honest there is litte to no DRM, so it's very redundant at the moment.

There he is again, "the funny thread derailer". I liked you more, when you said you would leave this forum, but I always knew you would not do that.

He had a mental breakdown, I suggest you just ignore him and continue on.
