Firek: In any event, we've got a workaround in the works, which will hopefully put your minds at ease.
Can we get some news on when this workaround (that is now over 10 months in progress) is going to be released?
It probably went all the way around...
Reacharound?

I might bake a cake for that occasion.

Is anyone interested in making a bet? I bet this problem will not be solved before the one-year mark. Who is betting against me?
You would think a problem like this would be a big issue for a DRM free retailer. It's like a serving pork at a Muslim party.

Actually, many Kebab in my area contains pork, that's why the guys offering it usually don't eat it themselves.
One year anniversary approaching fast ...
How long has it been now?

Oh damn, I forgot the one year anniversary of this "GOG doesn't give a fuck about DRM". But anyway, who can trust a shop like this? Me surely not.
Meh - I trust them - as far as I need to anyways - which isn't some great chasm to cross.

I mean, they do things I do like and give me more trust - like not storing CC info (so they say.. :p )

However, this game IS the game that had me start my "GOG Exception List", which are games I won't buy for various reasons (like the obvious with this one - others are perhaps requiring Flash or Air or Java [which never seems to get mentioned on the game cards]; etc. Or like Defcon actually has online DRM).

The list has a fair number of games on it these days. Just added a caution that Block'hood looks like it might be a Flash game so I'll not forget to check that once it's released (if I even decide it looks interesting).

Still, GOG gave me hope that FEAR would be able to come off the list and I'd buy it. Looks like that hope is still outstanding and GOG has shown they know the definition of "Soon™".

So.. it's buyer beware. Trust, but verify. Good buyer practices (cover your own six; don't rely on a business to do it).

But I can't say I overall "don't trust" them. Overall, I basically do..
