Hey all! Unfortunately, the update will come at a later date. The silver lining here is that it may contain additional bug fixes. Our apologies for that inconvenience.

roninfight: @king_kunat Could you please update us on the status, regardless of whether there's something new to share or not. I understand that we might have to wait some more, but it would be great to hear that GOG hasn't simply buried the topic completely.

Because pretty much the whole modding community has moved to the nextgen version as a base for their mods, it's now basically impossible to mod the version sold by GOG, and that's frankly sad.

king_kunat: I'm very sorry that all of this is taking so long. It was never planned to look like that. That said, the topic is not abandoned, and we want to get the update in Q3.
Finally, thanks for the update! (for what is worth, fingers crossed) :D

But yeah, like the other users said, the GOG version of Skyrim presents a memory leak, it seems to be an issue with the "latest" (january 2024) exe, so please make sure it gets fixed

Thank you for the update, it's very much appreciated. I'm hoping we'll get the update this year, I would love to discover this game with some of the most popular mods.

Nearly 1 year passed and still no update. This is really weird :(

Bethesda either forgot, stopped caring or are working on a remaster of the remaster.... who knows.
The Fallout 4 Next-Gen update is GOG's translation of the play Waiting for Godot.

They got hit by Microsoft cuts and GOG is likely no longer on their radar in any form.
This is always dangerous being part of MS because they are highly profit oriented. Those affected simply are now a good bit weaker than before and are not allocating resources for anything without "top priority" to say it blunt. The jobs that has been "cut" are apparently now being "mitigated" by cloud and AI... just in case someone want to point fingers. The Nvidia AI-boss in theory could buy GOG 1000 times in a row. No lack of cash in general but the priority is set very straight.

Okay maybe i was putting a overdrive. Nvidia, almost same for MS, currently is valued at around 4000 billion USD and CDPR (GOG is not a independent company, at least not in the books, de facto perhaps yes) is valued at around 10 billion, so 400 times more. Although GOG itself is surely way above 1000 times "cheaper".
Nope people, your money is not going there/here, even if you always may feel "empty" in your pockets. Your impact is just to minor, in a world shaped by some giants drawing almost any attention from the public.

Not really. I seem to remember Quake Remastered taking longer.

Not only Waiting for Godot, but also The Iceman Cometh.
