By now, everyone knows that I love Obsidian and don't like Bethesda, but I'll say that too: Obsidian games are often bug-ridden messes at release, and sometimes even after years the bugginess can be threatening.
For example, I have just finished playing Neverwinter Nights 2: the title is absolutely great, yet I have found TWO game-breaking bugs I needed to overcome using console commands and several other minor ones, like teleporting characters, companions that do not want to follow me and so on (the game was released in 2006).
I think I have been lucky in New Vegas: I bought the Ultimate Edition, and the only problems I had were two crashes in total, no bugs in mission or anything else. That said, I remember a friend of mine was crying blood to let it work, when it was released... and most of all, I've seen the console versions of the two recent Fallouts.
I have played FO3 on my Xbox360 -since back them my PC couldn't run it- and it was pretty terrible in its insatbilty and tendency to freeze every 20 minutes, but the PS3 version of New Vegas a friend of mine bought... well, that's like a pyrotechnics show (note that both were fully patched to the last version)! XD
Also, I think I have no need to mention Alpha Protocol and Kotor2.
Yes, most of the times they were forced to rush the development due to time restraints, yet a buggy game remains a buggy game, even if it is my favourite.
That said, I find both companies to be absolutely awful for what concerns good coding, since I had a fair share of serious issues with every Bethesda game I have played, too.
