darthspudius: Anyways! :P I recommend the weather mods, they can create some fantastic atmosphere. Unfortunately I forget the name but I'm sure you'll find it easy enough. :)
Nevada Skies or URWL? I personally prefer URWL but both are quite amazing in regards to how they change the feel of the game.

So, are we talking about quest mods, gameplay changing mods or what? I don't normally do quest mods but there are a few small changes that I like to have, like Immersive First Person View ("I have legs!") or the ragdoll overhaul that basically has me standing on top of deathclaw corpses chuckling with delight.

Other than that there are of course bug fixes (YUP or MMUE) and texture improvements (NMCs HighRes textures or Poco/Ojo Bueno and the Weapon Retexture Project) or other tiny things that just seem off in the vanilla game. o.o

I believe it was Nevada Skies I used. It was pretty wicked to see a change in weather. Really took the pain out of seeing endless desert.

Yeah, weather mods kinda have you standing around in the middle of nowhere doing nothing but stare at the sunrise.
URWL isn't quite as "spectacular" as NSkies, I suppose, and I don't think it's on the Nexus anymore.

Shame, it was a good mod.

Well it's still on MODDB so not gone or anything. Still, Nexus seems to be the first place people go to for mods.
Mission Mojave Ultimate Edition (make sure that is not the Plus edition). That's for a lot of bugfixing. Alternately the unofficial patch from Yukichigai.

Some of the uncut mods:

Check the compatibilities and choose the right ones. Some of the smaller mods are included in the big one or conflict with it.

Add the uncut mods only if you played the vanilla at least once.

Those are my essential mods. The rest are cosmetics or not that relevant (from my point of view, you might think different).

For mod sorting use either FOMM or NMM (Fallout Mod Manager or Nexus Mod Manager).
