Consoles will NEVER feature something so awesome like GOG. Drm-free, multiplat, true sales (never seen a sale this complete on consoles) and many more.
So my personal answer gotta be a huge and polite NO ;)

cogadh: So, Fallout 4 mods will be playable on the Xbone, taking away one of the perrenial advantages of PC gaming (just announced at the MS news conference). Is this the first real sign of the oft mentioned but never materializing "death of PC gaming"?
No, consoles are so PCfied by now that I'm just waiting until they start coming with Windows. Besides, modding coming out of being PC exclusive is a good thing.

Because we're all drones in a hive thinking the same things? No. Some people hate Bethesda with every bone in their body and others quite like their games and just wish that they'd consider a less bullshit platform (given that their games are mostly single player-centric).

So, I gather you feel that everyone should not speak their opinions and just shut up. This thread doesn't say anything about all of Bethesda. It is specific to the failure of Fallout 4 to be released DRM free. Thank you for trolling the thread and adding nothing useful though.

You don't get that for some folks, they would like to play it but maybe they won't for reasons they <i>do care</i> about?

I'd love to play Fallout 4, and I might. I'd already decided it would be my 'exception' to not buying on Steam (as was FONV). BUT - if there's some new client I also/instead of Steam, I likely won't; becuase I'm just not into having to have a fucking 'phone home' client for everything these days (will reserve final judgement for release and see how it all shakes out).

Just goes to show you - everyone's different.
