We see quite a few mods that you guys would like to see being a part of One-click Mods, awesome :)

Adding them to the Dreamlist is the best way to let us know what to prioritize, so go do just that!

in the list of required games.

amok: That's because you do not need it. Skyblivion is a total conversation of TES V: Skyrim, it does not use any files from Oblivion.
It's a mod for Skyrim Special Edition but the game files from Oblivion are indeed required, otherwise Bethesda would have never allowed it.

"Yes you Must have a valid install of the latest version of Oblivion GOTY Deluxe Edition and the latest version of Skyrim Special Edition, currently 1.6.1170.

This is a hard requirement that we have no ability to get around."

Did I say it was a sign the store is going down? Nope. It is however a worrying sign and part of a trend. The 'preservation program', the new dreamlist, and (most obvious) asking for 'donations' at checkout. All these things hint at a gog trying to hurriedly maintain and increase positive cash flow. Yet despite all this they continue to do things (including releasing partly DRMd games) that discourage the original customer base from wanting to spend more here. Kinda counterintuitive, really.

...So it is literally worse than Project Tamriel. Which thusfar has Skyrim, Cyrodill, and High Rock, but with the requirement of one game.

...And which can combine with the sister project Tamriel Rebuilt, which adds most of the Morrowind Mainland.


The whole, "Requires two games" thing feels like something more people should have put up front.

Bruh, i'm still trying to gather the mental fortitude to finish the ORIGINAL morrowwind.
(also need to gather the willpower to get Redguard working and completed on windows 11)

Nevermourning: Iirc IP holders own the rights to most/all mod content players create for their games. So in theory, gog could just get permission from those who own the IP. Going such a route wuld be a lot easier, albeit a somewhat dickish move.

So... the mod program is "part of a trend" and it is a "worrying sign". The "original customer base" is discouraged to spend more money here, but the "possible cost is negligible and will likely be recovered by anyone buying more games".

Yeah. Sure.

The feedback for the preservation program, the dreamlist and the mod program outside of this forum was overall positive. Of course, it wasn't positive in a certain Discord server. :D The typical doom and gloom shit can be found in this forum.

Hear, hear. This is a mod project/Thief Gold campaign that truly should be experienced by all lovers of the game!

An equivalent to Thief 1 "The Black Parade" in term of scope (i mean full campaign) and design quality for Thief 2 i played many years ago was " Thief 2X " it's a full and very well built campaign with quality voice acting and well crafted levels that allow some good hide and sneak gameplay

But there are absolute truckload of high quality fan missions (some campaign-level, some unique missions) that are worth playing once you want more out of Thief 2

Some of my favorites were the very atmospheric "The Seven Sisters" (sad to learn the dev passed away a few years ago, may she rests in peace in high heavens) and the truly excellent Impossible Mission-styled (it just needed the theme music :D ) "Mission X" from the Circle of Stone and Shadow project , or the very well made horror themed mission "Rose Cottage"

But so many great fan missions, impossible to choose which is the best

I would strongly recommend Qwinn's Fixpack for Dragon Age Origins, and maybe a few other mods. I also recommend the mods/fix packs for the Infinity Engine games: Baldur's Gate I and II, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale, etc. Pillars of Eternity I and II, Tyranny, Divinity Original Sin I and II, The Witcher series, Elex series, Gothic/Risen series, etc.

You know, all of the games that take a load of time to install mods and such for. Just some recommendations from a fan that these mods caught the eye of.
