Impossible to do for me. Every time I attempt to click the add a game button I get stuck in a cyclical 'log-in' prompt => page reload. Perhaps you (the admins) could provide a suitable link where we can add mod projects?

There are so many DOOM (and Quake) TCs that fundamentally overhaul and extend the value of those games. Unfortunately many require a third party emulator like GZDoom to run properly rather than the base game under DOSBox. Some of these mods are of course available from within the new modern ports released in recent years but that muddies the waters quite a lot.

...Not much exciting here. I hope this effort didn't take much in the way of resources spent.

I suppose it's good to have more mirrors/backups for some of the more useful mods at least.

Can you at least put these in their own tab in our libraries so they don't become overly cluttered?

Why I have to download the whole game (offline-installer) again just for the mod? Why not a new mod directory in the original game dir? I don't get it...

I added a bunch of more votes on Dreamlist because of this addition. I would buy them in GOG despite having them on other platforms simply due the convenience of getting mods without the hassle.

amok: I'm pretty computer illiterate, and I honestly haven’t found modding to be a hassle. If you use a mod manager like CurseForge or Vortex, all you have to do is point it to your game folder, and it becomes basically one-click modding, the manager installs the mods for you, and you can easily remove them too. On Steam, it’s even simpler. Just subscribe to a mod in the client, and Steam handles the rest automatically.

In the end, using mods can be as easy or as much hassle as you want it to be.
I am probably much more computer illiterate than you, but Vortex was a godawful mod manager for Skyrim modding, and I have managed to swap it for MO2. I can appreciate simplicity but often it isn't the best solution for one's needs.

Would be cool if you could add Tale of Two Wastelands to this system. It's the best way to play Fallout 3 today, but it's infamously hard to install. A one-click installation would be perfect.

The thing with Tales of Two Wastelands is that it's more of a modpack that also requires other small mods to run 100% stable, and it gets updated regularly (both the main and performance mods), so it's probably too much of a hassle for GOG

Let me see here: So you need both Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
A nexus account, and a Mod:Pub account.
So far we're on just the requirements and I can get a feeling this thing is a dependency hell.

...Okay, screw it. Even reading the text guide isn't worth the effort. The mod is too complicated for it's own good and they should just make a separate game that does whatever they want without the limitations of the GCS.

I will then clarify that GOG is not profiting off of anything that I have worked on.
Additionally, this would be impossible because I have never shared my work anywhere or to anyone.

gog2002x: I think GOG is going to go off the Dreamlist and what people want most on there. So if you have a specific favorite, add it to the Dreamlist. Here's a post by GOG from this very thread. I imagine if it's very popular, GOG will likely reach out to the mod author(s).

dnovraD: I've already listed several obscure shareware games, what makes them think that using the dreamlist for that is a good idea, especially for trifling mods such as editing the MC in an obscure Dig Dug clone to be a duck?
I think for now, the Dreamlist is all GOG has to work with. Maybe someone can open a thread and give them some good alternatives (Same for people that are concerned with extra Library entries for these new one-click versions).

Also, I think only the highest requested mods on the Dreamlist will even get considered and then it still has to go through the curation process. I don't really see too many getting added for now. There are wonderful mods out there that add a lot of QoL features and bugfixes. But not many are unified into one mod that doesn't conflict with someone else's work.

So if a mod has too many mod authors that GOG needs to get permission from, it's likely we won't see those one-click games here.

Even the GOG Preservation Program will take time to add in a lot of games. It's a long term kind of program it seems to me. The GOG Mod program also seems to be a long term project. So far GOG PP has mostly been a hit, though a few misses that still needs work (BoF IV still needs some love).

I think the GOG Mod program will be a hit in the long run. We're second guessing ourselves right now on how it will turn out. Maybe it'll turn out to be a good thing or maybe a bad thing. Time will tell as they say. GPP so far has been beneficial. So, maybe we should give this new program a chance? =P

I believe GOG will hear the community out throughout the process. So I think this will evolve as time goes on and maybe the Dreamlist will evolve to separate game requests vs game + mod one-click requests.
