So I just recently reinstalled GOG Galaxy twice now and for some reason, this error still keeps popping up. How do you fix this problem and what causes this happen? I just want to play Shadow Warrior 2 so badly.

I don't know about this Galaxy error as I don't use it myself, but if you really, really just want to play Shadow Warrior 2, like any other GOG game, goods news is that you don't need to install a client. Just go to your library, select the game, click VIEW DOWNLOADS, then DOWNLOAD OFFLINE BACKUP GAME INSTALLERS. Voilà, a good old-fashioned installer that you can use without any third-party software.

Please uninstall Galaxy. After uninstalling, please check to make sure you have all of the available updates/service packs for your Windows version installed. After that, please reinstall Galaxy.

If you are still experiencing issues after ensuring your Windows version is fully updated and you've reinstalled Galaxy with those updates installed, please file a bug report to our Galaxy bug tracker here: http://mantis.gog.com/ (your GOG credentials will work here). Please be sure to include your logs which can be found here: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs

I am getting the same error. Typically I get it at boot. I just click the error message away and restart the program. It might take a couple of tries but I have failed to get into galaxy with a little patience.
Most likely, installer is trying to install C++ 2015 red (x86) 14.0.24212 but its is not possible, becaseu there is already "other version" installed.

Cant attach screenshot.

Cant uninstall. Its said it might be already uninstalled and the icon disappeared from the appwiz.
This issue still hasn't been fixed. The error doesn't mention what components are missing, so it's difficult to tell if it's missing a redistributable pack or anything. Also, it does run, but then it says it has issues contacting the server and closes out.

My solution is to just not use GOG until they manage to fix it. I might just end up not using it ever again, at this rate.
Open event viewer and check error
That's why I never buy the games in this service. I had a mistake once, don't wanna do this again.
OMG even leaving the comment in gog forum made a weird new window popped up... %(
Best developers here. Two years still essential components needed. Stability!

Your gibberish means nothing.
You don't need galaxy to download games here, that's the whole point.
If you wanted actual help for your issue, then post a screenshot of your error and give information as to what OS you're running, not hard.

Ah, yes, the DRM-free advantage of the optional client.

Well, it works for me without reinstalling so ... great software! great software! great software!
I'm experiencing this too. I already tried twice to uninstall everything GOG related and reboot and then do a fresh install from the website. Fails installation with this error.

Also, I turned off antivirus and protection settings before install.

Is there any other suggestions yet?

I was getting this message as well when trying to update, but downloading and re-installing seemed to update it to the latest version (2.0.58).
