Atre: Dominance Wars is a strategy where you play as a Sorcerer who became an Elder – and it’s now available in early access on GOG!

Fantasy kingdom builder with god powers and turn-based tactical combat. Build thriving settlements, forge artifacts, command armies with heroes, and ascend from sorcerer to god - wielding spells powerful enough to reshape the world itself. Betray your allies or be betrayed. Only one can ascend.

Now on GOG!

Note: This game is currently in development. See the FAQ to learn more about games in development, and check out the forums to find more information and to stay in touch with the community.
To the forum dominance!
My eyeballs have been on this one!
Been waiting for this.
"It's a strategy where you play a Sorcerer!"

Yawn.

"...a Sorcerer who became an Elder!"

WooOOOoooah!

GOG, I thought you folks learned your lesson about letting AI write your marketing copy after the recent End of the Sun email fiasco.
Looks great (per trailer)!

> and ascend from sorcerer to god

Heavy is the staff of the sorcerer that ascends.
Heavier is the hand of god without a staff.
Attero Dominatus?
which btw is the most (unwillingly?) WH40k-esque title (= lingua latina canum) ever published outside official Games Workshop official media (and not even dealing with said setting!)

Well, have you ever heard of a sorcerer (not an intern paid in promises and Diagon Alley coupons) who is *not* old and long-bearded?

Quick look to screenshots hinting of gameplay: promising! It looks like Total War Warhammer ?

"Betray your allies or be betrayed. Only one can ascend."

If this is true, that your allies will betray you, and if it requires you to betray others, then that's a hard pass from my chaotic good arse..

In spite of that, I hope this game is a success, as a lot of work is going into it as a schight-tonne of gamers love playing evil characters.

I'm unfortunately, not one of them, which is too bad as otherwise, this game is right up my alley!

Well, in every 4x you can break alliances (and you can also directly attack allies, then the game automatically breaks the alliance and the default state for a faction is "enemy"). It's just a style of play, don't think it's required. Good Old MoO2 always had my allies' agents caught stealing my tech, for example.

Thanks for the insight, I was going by the descriptor as that's what drove me off of buying it.

Now comes the wait until it's out of EA.
