No, this isn't a reality yet, but it could be. Imagine if Electronic Arts decided that maintaining their own client and server space was a waste of resources. Imagine if they decided to give Steam the finger and partner exclusively with GOG. Imagine AAA titles like Star Wars: Battlefront III and Mass Effect 4 being made available here DRM-free on day one. Discuss!

I'm in for Electronic Arts (EA) partnering with gog.com and not showing up on Steam at all.

Steam is a damn joke.
It'll never happen,Steam is too big.

I don't believe in miracles, son. Besides, EA is one of the most hated companies out there. Who would want their filth in here?

Well, apart from a carefully selected handful of games, made by studios before or after acquisition from EA and their sequels were destroyed or discontinued by EA?

Mom, don't wanna wake up yet...
While this would be a dream come true... I'm sure the biggest incentive for developers hsing online clients is the implementation of DRM so likely would end up being a slippery slope.
wont happen

EA likes their own client too much

After Crysis 2 maximum edition you do realize Electronic Arts (EA) is not selling any of their video games on Steam right?

Electronic Arts (EA) is selling all of their video games on their own client Origin and a bunch of classic video games on gog.com.

Electronic Arts (EA) has like 8 video games they are selling on Steam, well if you count out the Crysis video games then it's 7 video games.

We are talking about a company that recently tried (and evidently failed) to charge their users for gas.

I'm sorry but I don't see that working here. :P

Iris skylinely Robin Williams no fire breas?
I find it more likely that CDPR will buy EA than the scenario you describe.

i find it more likley that nintendo busy EA then either scenario ( ie complete fiction )

EA is out to push their own platform
they abandoned steam just to push origin
And one day pigs will learn to fly.
