I'll go for Hotline Miami. +1 for author of the giveaway, also one for NerdQuest, I like your choice.

I won't put them in numeric order because it's hard to pick the best one. Depending on mood it could change over the time.

-Led Zeppelin - III -They were my first love when it comes about music that's not in my native language.
-Led Zeppelin - II - Well, it's full of good old blues rock, and it's Zeppelin.
-Black Sabbath - Sabotage - Sabbath were the first when it comes to heavy metal. Sabotage is, at least for now, my most listend album.
-The Doors - Morrison Hotel - The best one in my opinion.
-Grand Funk Railroad - Grand Funk - Don't have much to say. Great album from a great band.
Not in, as I own the games already.
I have no "favourite" albums persé, as I switch a lot what I listen to. I usually like (most kinds of) metal, but as for lately, I am listening to more electronic stuff (thanks to Hotline Miami I suppose, as it's mostly MOON, Pertubator, Powerglove, John Carpenter and such things).
Nevertheless, if I got to think about 5 albums, the ones coming to mind are:

+ Black Sabbath
+ Paranoid
+ Master of Reality
+ Vol.4
+ Death Penalty

The four early albums are Black Sabbath, whereas the 5th is from Witchfinder General, a lesser known and pretty overlooked band which also plays a doomy style of classic metal.
I like loads and loads of albums and songs of other genres, artists and such, but a playlist with a random selection of these albums, some electro, a bit of Slayer, some Pink Floyd, a few classicals and Metal Gear and Castlevania OST's will make me forget about other music (for a little bit ;) ).

Well, I've been curious about Miami Hotline for a while, so this might be a good opportunity to check it out :)

It's hard for me to pick five favourite albums- I usually only like a few songs here, a few there, often I don't even know what albums they come from. But I'll do my best

5. Queen- A Kind of Magic. Yes, it's because of the songs from Highlander. I love that movie to death, every thing about it. I love Queen too, so while I can't objectivly argue about this being their best work, It's what I come back to most often. Who Wants to Live Forever is bloody marvelous however you look at it.

4.Jacek Kaczmarski- Mury (Walls). Jacek Kaczmarski is often called "the bard of Solidarity", and Mury are definately his most famous song. And a great song it is, as are others on this album, but what really made me choose it for this list is "Krajobraz po uczcie" (The Landscape after the feast? Something like that. Translating his songs is pointless I think. Poetry is hard to translate, but poetry made into song is impossible to translate) It's a masterpiece about the downfall of Poland in the XVIII century, when it was eventually taken apart by it's neighbours. It's remarkable how all of that history, all the corruption, anarchy, negligence, arogance and waste are condensed into just a few minutes of song. And it's not a boring history lesson, it's riveting, emotional and heartbreaking.

3. Simon & Garfunkle Parsley, Sage Rosemery and Thyme. Simon & Garfunkle are among the wonderful artists of the 60's and 70's I grew up with thanks to my parents. And while I Learned to love their music as a child, with time I understood much more of it, and discovered more of their songs. This album holds songs that for me represent all of those three. Scarborough Fair is the song I best remember hearing as a kid, The Dangling Conversation is one that I only understood years later, and For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her is one that I only first heard years later, and consider it one of the most beatiful songs I know.

2. Clannad- Legend. The soundtrack to possibly my favourite tv series of all time, Robin of Sherwood (it's either that or Babylon 5, I can never decide). It is all the wonder and beauty of a magical legend put into sound. This music makes me feel like I've been transported to a world like Middle-Earth, or the mythohistorical past from the legends of King Arthur. Maybe it sounds silly, but there it is.

1. Leonard Cohen- I'm Your Man. Leonard Cohen is a god of music to me. I could probably make this list with his albums only, if that would not make for a boring read. I chose this one mostly because of Take This Waltz. Like all his songs it's poetic and beautiful, but what makes this one stand out is the duet vocals with Jennifer Warnes in the latter half of the song. Their two voices work together somehow making what already seemed perfect even better.

Not in, but thanks for the giveaway! +1
Liking music is not rational so it's hard to describe with words but I'll try:

ABBA Gold
so many great songs - in the beginning I liked 2 songs of it the most but there are many more songs I learned to love

Depeche Mode - The Singles 86>98
nice melancholic music

Sylver - Chances
helped me to block negative thoughts when learning for my final exams

Alice Cooper - Trash
Poison is the most famous song from this album but others are great too

X-Perience - Lost in Paradise
Great mystic sound sung by a great sweet voice - a pity there isn't a best of Album from the band

Alrerady have HM1 so I'm in for part 2.
In for part 2.

So much good music to choose from, so many genres. So not sure this is a top 5, but certainly very good albums. My goal is 5 very different albums.

Led Zeppelin IV - Zoso or whatever: A classic, overplayed but there is a reason for it.
Primus - Frizzle Fry - Their first album, not the most popular but it is what put them on the map. Too Many Puppies is a classic.
Slayer - Reign in Blood - For speed metal enthusiasts, this was the best of the best. Solid through and through.
Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland - Another classic from a career cut way too short
Ice-T - O.G. Original Gangster - Back before he became a TV star, classic gangster rap..

Hahaha, you got me there. Although the title is just something dumb I thought of when I first joined.

Alright, drawing is gonna be in an hour and a half, so there's still time to get in if anyone wants to.

In the meantime, here are my top 5:

Grindstone by Shining (Nor)
Some really slick jazz-fusion coupled with ethereal synth on occasion. I wanted to run around telling everyone about it when I first heard it all the way through. Had some really fun experiences that it coupled as the soundtrack to, as well. This was the last album the band did before they started chasing trends, which is kinda disappointing. They got more recognized that way though. Can't knock the hustle!

Uroboros by Dir en Grey
Dir en Grey is my favorite band ever, I make no bones about that. This is perhaps their magnum opus. Truly showcases Kyo's abilities as a vocalist, going from dulcet singing to unearthly growls, piercing screams, and hair-raising rasps. It varies quite a bit, but the 2nd track, Vinushka is a harrowing way to kick off the album proper. It's by no means an album which fucks around, what with the ragers like Gaika, Chinmoku ga Nemuru Koro and the like. Lyrics are inscrutable, even when translated. Dir en Grey has always been like that, though.

Colors by Between the Buried and Me
This was my introduction to BtBaM, hell of a way to say "hello." Everyone should check it out, it's got more high points in it than a rave full of stoned thumbtacks. One of the only albums where the band can say "We will be remembered for this" DURING the album and you just think "yup. Fuck yeah." As a side-note, it helped me get through some times when I was sick. Sun of Nothing is just a healing song by design.

Traced in Air by Cynic
Their return to the scene after so many years, and with such a short album. But even then it feels so nostalgic. This is something that someone once described as "sky metal," and there's no better descriptor. A really hopeful album expressing the beauty of the world and everything in it.

Demon Days by Gorillaz
It's a perfect album. Perfect in every way possible. Starts perfectly, ends perfectly, no filler, tons of guests, not a wasted moment. You can tell lots of feeling went into the creation of this masterpiece. I used to listen to it all the time way back driving through windy roadways to school in a shitty car that smelled of gasoline. But that's the thing, when you've got something THIS GOOD in your deck? Even the worst auto can be a vehicle to another dimension.
Not in, but +1 for your generosity! :-)
Congrats to PalioDeMonte! You are the winner!

This is so... wow, that's awesome! Thank you so much. This one would have been a fun giveaway without winning, either!
