Okay, a broader question then: is it an adventure game?

The pictures do seem very familiar and I feel reminded of some adventure game (not sure which one, though) but I just can't put my finger on it.

I thought of that, but I just finished playing 1 and 2, and the hat looks different, there is no staff that I can think of, and no skull ring either. Unless it's a later one.

Oh, ok. Well I have to confess, last time I played Simon The Sorcerer was in mid-90, but the post of F4LLOUT reminded me of this :)

I'm sorry for my absence, my PC had a serious problem!
It wouldn't reach the login screen when I turned the computer on. No matter how many times I restarted.
