So, now that Double Insomnia has ended with a whimper instead of a bang, it's time to look back upon all our gathered loot. But it's also time to ruminate on what was missed. This thread exists in order to help rectify the latter.

Basically, post what you were most looking for in the Insomnia sale but missed your chance at getting. If one of the Guild Of Gifters here on GOG sees your lament and can make it better, we shall. But be warned - cheap bastards and low-rep unknowns posting that they "missed" the most expensive games are likely to be passed by. :)

Let's make this a fun giveaway, so share any favourite stories from the sale as well. And here's hoping we can make some wishes come true!

But to be honest, the few games I missed were the +$10 ones I was too cheap to buy anyway.

Not really any stories to share, there were several times I was sleeping next to the laptop, and I'd wake myself up to check if the games had switched. Also, carried my phone everywhere checking for updates on the sales. Strangely got absloutely no criticals while out of the house.

As for favorite stories... Well, I'll talk about my new Garrett avatar. Since I got a crit on a big game, I jokingly thought of myself as "The Insomnia Thief", so I chose one of GOG's Thief II avatars. It was going to be more temporary, but I decided I liked the new avatar, so I've been stuck with it ever since. :)

I passed on freedom planet since it was still a bit too expensive (being out of a job means every euro counts) and I have no idea if spelunky was part of it but I didn't see it...

Heh. This was one Insomnia promo I payed little attention to. Was quite busy these days so I probably missed quite a few things but I wouldn't know what I missed so that's ok. I picked up Papers Please and that's ok also.

I ended up missing Rayman Origins, which I would of picked up on the 3rd pass.

I saw 'most everything, and held back on the costier games just because of the prices - good deals individually, but in the aggregate too much for me. The only thing I missed legitimately was the AVGN movie, but that's not end-of-the-world stuff. Though it is odd that I actually managed not to see it during either time it was up (it missed its third round).

And I already had a generous Insomnia gift from Budejovice, so it's not like I'm wanting for stuff to play or anything.

The only game that I really wanted from the sale was Jade Empire, I loved the little bit of that game that I played when I was younger.

I'm a "low rep unknown" and I got everything I really wanted (though missed or passed on a couple that I sorta was considering), so I'm just here to say +1 :)

Well, there are good folks who fit that category, and less-good folks. Hope I didn't offend by painting with a broad brush. :)

Oh, and being low-repped or relatively unknown isn't a bar to entering this giveaway. I'm just cautioning those folks whom we had never seen before which appeared in the tracker thread with posts of "damn, I just missed Shadowgate (hint hint)".

Well, I really only got one thing from my wishlist, because it was an acceptable conversion from USD to BRL, though it will be more expensive than I wish it was in the end.

Other than that, I got a couple of games I wasn't looking for in critical hits.

I was really looking forward to getting Gabriel Knight 20th anniversary, though I recognize right now it is too bloody expensive for anyone to gift it to me.
